 Հայաստանի շախմատի ֆեդերացիայի փոխնախագահ Սմբատ Լպուտյանը հաջողված է համարում «Ծաղկաձոր օփեն» միջազգային առաջին մրցաշարը, որին ընդառաջ անցկացվում է նաև «բլից» մրցաշար՝ նվիրված Աշոտ Անաստասյանի հիշատակին: «Մենք չէինք էլ կարող պատկերացնել, որ այսքան մասնակից կունենանք: Ուրախ և զարմացած եմ, որ Աշոտ Անաստասյանի հուշամրցաշարը մոտ 200 մասնակից ունի: Սա մեծ նվաճում է Ծաղկաձորի և մեր երկրի համար: Այս մրցաշարը մեծ տոն է: Ինչպես ցանկանում էինք Ջերմուկը դարձնել շախմատային կենտրոն, կարծում եմ, որ Ծաղկաձորը կարող է շախմատային կենտրոն լինել ամբողջ աշխարհի համար»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ Ծաղկաձորում հուշամրցաշարի մեկնարկին նշեց Լպուտյանը:

Հայաստանի շախմատային ֆեդերացիան նոյեմբերի 22-ին կազմակերպել է շախմատի կայծակնային մրցաշար՝ նվիրված միջազգային գրոսմայստեր, Հայաստանի ութակի չեմպիոն Աշոտ Անաստասյանի հիշատակին: Մրցաշարն անցկացվում է շվեյցարական մրցակարգով, 9 խաղափուլով: Մրցաշարին մասնակցում են 14 երկրների շուրջ 200 շախմատիստներ, այդ թվում` 29 միջազգային գրոսմայստեր և 28 միջազգային և ՖԻԴԵ-ի վարպետներ: Մրցաշարի մրցանակային ֆոնդը կազմում է 2 500 ԱՄՆ դոլար: Սահմանված են 10 հիմնական և 3 հատուկ մրցանակներ:

Նոյեմբերի 22-ից դեկտեմբերի 2-ն էլ կանցկացվի «Ծաղկաձոր օփեն» շախմատի միաջազգային մրցաշարը: Այն կանցկացվի Ա և Բ խմբերով, շվեյցարական մրցակարգով, 9 խաղափուլով՝ ՖԻԴԵ-ի շախմատի կանոնների համաձայն: Մրցաշարերում հաղթողի կոչման համար կպայքարեն 17 երկրների շուրջ 160 շախմատիստներ, այդ թվում՝ 23 միջազգային գրոսմայստեր և 23 միջազգային և ՖԻԴԵ-ի վարպետներ: Մրցաշարի մրցանակային ֆոնդը կազմում է 12 000 ԱՄՆ դոլար: Սահմանված են 15 հիմնական և 10 հատուկ մրցանակներ:
