Լարիսա Ալավերդյանը խորհրդարանի կողմից Սումգայիթի ջարդերը ցեղասպանություն որակելու անհրաժեշտություն է տեսնում

Հայաստանի առաջին օմբուդսմեն Լարիսա Ալավերդյանը 1988թ. Սումգայիթում հայերի կոտորածներն Ազգային ժողովի կողմից որպես ցեղասպանություն որակելու անհրաժեշտություն է տեսնում: Նոյեմբերի 18-ին կայացած ասուլիսում Լարիսա Ալավերդյանն ընդգծեց, որ Սումգայիթի կոտորածների 30-ամյա տարելիցը կարող է լավ առիթ լինել, որպեսզի Հայաստանի Ազգային ժողովն ընդունի փաստաթուղթ, որն առնվազն կհաստատի այն որոշումները, որոնք ընդունել է Խորհրդային Հայաստանի Գերագույն խորհուրդը: «Իսկ 1988թ. Խորհրդային Հայաստանի Գերագույն խորհուրդն ընդունեց փաստաթուղթ, որով Սումգայիթի դեպքերը որպես ցեղասպանություն ճանաչեց: Նորանկախ Հայաստանը նման որևէ որոշում կամ փաստաթուղթ դեռևս չունի: Բայց արդեն ժամանակն է, որ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը պաշտոնապես նման փաստաթուղթ ունենա»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` ընդգծեց Ալավերդյանը:
Նա հավելեց, որ Հայաստանի կառավարությունը պետք է հատուկ կարգավիճակ տա այն ընտանիքներին, ում ծնողները կամ երեխաները այդ տարիներին սպանվել են Սումգայիթում, Բաքվում, Կիրովաբադում: «Ես սա ամեն տարի ասում եմ, տարիներ շարունակ նամակներ եմ գրել: Եթե մենք ինքներս չենք ցանկանում այդ վայրագություններին զոհ գնացած անձանց ընտանիքներին տալ համապատասխան կարգավիճակ, այդ դեպքում ի՞նչ ենք մենք դրսից սպասում»,- շեշտեց Լարիսա Ալավերդյանը:
Նա ակադեմիական շրջանակներին կոչ արեց աշխատել այդ ուղղությամբ, սակայն հավելեց, որ շատ ավելի տեղին կլինի, եթե Հայաստանի կառավարությունը այդ վայրագություններին զոհ գնացած անձանց ընտանիքներին տա ցեղասպանությանը զոհ գնացած ընտանիքների անդամների կարգավիճակ:
