Սատանայի ծովը կամ Վիշապի եռանկյունին Խաղաղ օվկիանոսում գտնվող մի շրջան է, որտեղ անոմալ երևույթները նույնքան հաճախ են, որքան հռչակավոր Բերմուդյան եռանկյունում։ Այն գտնվում է Ճապոնիայի ափերի մոտ, ու դարեր ի վեր տեղեկություններ են կուտակվում այնտեղ պարբերաբար կատարվող տարօրինակ իրադարձությունների, մագնիսային անոմալիաների, անհասկանալի լույսերի ու օբյեկտների և, իհարկե, անբացատրելի անհետացումների մասին։ Այս վայրն այնքան վտանգավոր է, որ ճապոնական իշխանությունները հայտարարել են այն վտանգավոր գոտի ձկնորսության համար։ 

Այսպես, հայտնի է, որ 1952 թվականին Ճապոնիայի իշխանությունները որոշեցին գիտահետազոտական «Kaio Maru №5» նավն ուղարկել Սատանայի ծով, որպեսզի հետազոտական աշխատանքներ անեն այդտեղ։ Սակայն որոշ ժամանակ անց կապը նավի հետ կտրվեց, և, բնականաբար, դրանից հետո ո՛չ նավը երբևէ տեսան, ո՛չ դրա անձնակազմի 31 անդամներին։

Մեկ այլ պատմություն էլ կա՝ կապված Սատանայի ծովի հետ, որը շատ հայտնի է, բայց քչերը գիտեն, որ հենց Վիշապի եռանկյունում է այն եղել։ Խոսքը մոնղոլական անհաջող արշավանքի մասին է, երբ Հուբիլայի ղեկավարության ներքո հսկայական մոնղոլական նավատորմը որոշեց Ճապոնիայի ափերին հասնել հենց Սատանայի ծովի ջրերով, ինչի արդյունքում նա առնվազն 40.000 մարդ կորցրեց, իսկ ճապոնացիներն այդ փրկիչ ու հզոր փոթորիկի անունը դրեցին Կամիկաձե՝ Աստվածային քամի։

Սատանայի ծովի առեղծվածը բացատրել փորձող մի շարք վարկածներ կան՝ սկսած այլմոլորակայիններից ու դեպի զուգահեռ տիեզերք տանող դարպասներից, վերջացրած Ատլանտիդայի մասին խոսակցություններով։ Ոմանք էլ համարում են, որ անբացատրելի անհետացումների պատճառն իրականում ստորջրյա հրաբուխների բարձր ակտիվությունն է, ու նավերն անհետանում են ծովի հատակից հրաբխային գազերի՝ հսկայական պղպջակների տեսքով վեր բարձրանալու արդյունքում։

Ամեն դեպքում մի բան ակնհայտ է. Սատանայի ծովի հետ մի բան այն չէ, և անկախ նրանից՝ բնական, թե գերբնական ուժեր են թաքնված դրա հետևում, ավելի լավ է այնտեղից հեռու մնալ։
