Սաուդյան Արաբիայում ձերբակալվել է 208 մարդ, սառեցվել՝ 1700 բանկային հաշվեհամար

Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավոր դատախազությունը հաստատել է, որ վերջերս կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի շրջանակում տեղի ունեցած ձերբակալությունների ընթացքում կալանավորվել է 208 մարդ: Մեղադրանքները կապված են տարիների ընթացքում շուրջ 100 միլիարդ դոլարի հափշտակման փաստի հետ: Այս մասին հայտնում է "Ամերիկայի ձայնը":
Հինգշաբթի օրը հրապարակված հայտարարության մեջ նշվում է, որ 7 ձերբակալվածներ ազատ են արձակվել առանց որևէ մեղադրանքների, սակայն 201 կասկածյալ շարունակում են մնալ կալանքի տակ: Կառավարությունը գործի շրջանակում սառեցրել է շուրջ 1700 բանկային հաշվեհամար:
Ձերբակալվածները կալանքի տակ են պահվում երկրի մայրաքաղաք Ռիադի Ռիթս Քերելթոն բարձրակարգ հյուրանոցում:
ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ռեքս Թիլերսոնն ասել է, որ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի արտգործնախարար Ադել ալ Ջուբեյրը տեղեկացրել է, որ իրականում այդ անձինք ձերբակալված չեն, սակայն կառավարությունը հանրությանը շարունակում է ներկայացնել փաստեր գործի առնչությամբ՝ մարդկանց գործի մանրամասներին ծանոթացնելու համար:
Վերլուծաբանների կարծիքով կոռուպցիոն այս սկանդալը ծագել է Սաուդյան Արաբիայում իշխանության համար մղվող պայքարի շրջանակում: 32 ամյա արքայազն Մոհամադ բին Սալմանը, ով երկրի ղեկավարության ստանձման հիմնական թեկնածուն է, այս պահին գլխավորում է հակակոռուպցիոն հանձնաժողովը: Ըստ վերլուծաբանների, այս միջոցով Սալմանի կողմնակիցները վերացնում են արքայազնի համար որևէ մրցակցություն՝ ապահովելով իշխանության անխոչընդոտ փոխանցումը Սալմանին:
Կառավարությունը գաղտնի է պահում այն անձանց անունները, ովքեր ձերբակալվել են կոռուպցիոն այս գործի շրջանակում, որը ըստ իշխանությունների, բխում է հետաքննության շահերից:
