2008 թվականի Մարտի 1-ի զոհերից  Սամվել Հարությունյանի հայրը՝ Էդիկ Հարությունյանը բաց նամակով դիմել է վարչապետին եւ խնդրել, որ նամակը հրապարակվի նաեւ «Հայկական ժամանակում»:

Զոհվածի հոր հոգեցունց նամակը ներկայացնում ենք ստորեւ.

«Պարոն վարչապետ,

Արդեն անցել է իննուկես տարուց ավելի ժամանակ, երբ 2008-ի մարտի 1-ին զոհվեցին բոլորովին անմեղ մարդիկ, ու մինչ օրս ոչ մի մարդասպան դեռ չի պատժվել, որի համար մենք՝ զոհերի ծնողներս, խոր ցավ ենք ապրում:

Այս վերջին ժամանակներս տարբեր բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների կողմից լսում ենք բարեփոխումների, կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի, արդարադատությանը վերաբերող հարցերի մասին, բայց ոչ ոք Մարտի 1-ին վերաբերող որևիցե մի բառ չի խոսում, և այդպես էլ անարդարությունների հետ կողք-կողքի ապրում ենք, զերծ չենք մնում նաև որոշ պաշտոններ զբաղեցրած մարդկանց ակնհայտ ճնշումներից, որի արդյունքում ունենում ենք թե առողջական, թե նյութական մեծ վնասներ:

Եթե դու Մարտի 1-ի զոհի ծնող ես, ուրեմն կարող են 64 տարեկան կնոջը թոշակ չտրամադրել, բժիշկները կարող են քո ընտանիքի անդամներից մեկին վիրահատել, մի օրգանը հեռացնել առանց որևէ մեկին տեղյակ պահելու: Դրա մասին դու իմանում ես յոթ տարի հետո միայն: Այդ պատճառով ես վերցրել եմ բարձր տոկոսով վարկեր, և յոթ տարի շարունակ տարբեր բուժհաստատությունների վրա ապարդյուն ծախսել այդ գումարները, մինչև հիմա գտնվում եմ այդ տոկոսների, տույժ-տուգանքների բեռի տակ: Իսկ երբ դիմում ես համապատասխան մարմիններին, այդ բժիշկների վրա հարուցվում է քրեական գործ, բայց ոչ ոք չի պատժվում: Թե ինչպես են նրանք խուսափում պատասխանատվությունից, դա հիմա պարզից էլ պարզ է:

Կարող են քո կողմից մշակված խաղողը չընդունել, 14 տոննա խաղողը դուրս հանել գործարանից անհիմն պատճառաբանությամբ, 20 տոննայի պայմանագիրը տարեցտարի նվազեցնել, հասցնելով 12 տոննայի՝ այն դեպքում, երբ ես տանն ունեմ երեք անչափահաս երեխա, որոնցից մեկը՝ հորից որբ մնացած, և որդու կիսակառույց գերեզման, որը մինչ օրս չեմ կարողանում ավարտին հասցնել:

Գյուղապետը կարող է քեզանից խլել քո կողմից մշակվող հողակտորը և նվիրել իր մարդկանցից մեկին, անգամ, երբ դու այդ հողի համար նախնական վճարում ես կատարել: Վերջին խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների ժամանակ, եթե դու ձայնդ տվել ես «Բարգավաճ»-ին, ուրեմն դու որոշ մարդկանց մոտ զայրույթ ու թշնամանք ես առաջացրել:

Պարոն վարչապետ, ձեզանից ակնկալում եմ այս հարցերի արդարացի լուծում, իսկ եթե արդարությունն այդպես էլ օդից կախված մնա, ինչպես որ եղել է մինչև հիմա, ինձ մնում է հավաքել ընտանիքս և հեռանալ ինձ համար ոչ ցանկալի մի վայր, թողնելով ամեն ինչ, քանի որ արդեն ի վիճակի չեմ իմ որդուն սպանողների հետ քայլել նույն հողի վրա և նույն օդը շնչել»:
