Հարավային Կորեայում բազմահազարանոց ցույցեր են ընդդեմ կորեական թերակղզու հիմնախնդիրը ռազմական ճանապարհով լուծելու ԱՄՆ սպառնալիքների, ինչպես նաև խաղաղության կոչերով։

Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ վկայակոչելով «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը, ցույցերն անկցավում են ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի ասիական շրջագայության շրջանակներում նրա Հարավային Կորեա այցի։

Ինչպես հաղորդվել է նախկինում, ԱՄՆ նախագահի Ճապոնիա, Հարավային Կորեա, Չինաստան, Վիետնամ և Ֆիլիպիններ այցերի ընթացքում քննարկումների գլխավոր թեման լինելու է Կորեական թերակղզու հիմնախնդրի լուծումը՝ ԿԺԴՀ հրթիռա-միջուկային սպառնալիքներին դիմակայելու շեշտադրումով։

Ինչպես նախօրեին հայտնել է Associated Press գործակալությունը, ԱՄՆ ԶՈՒ շտաբների պետերի միավորված կոմիտեի ներկայացուցիչ Մայքլ Դամոնտը հայտարարել է, որ Հյուսիսային Կորեայի բոլոր միջուկային օբյեկտների որոշման և երաշխավորված ոչնչացման  միակ ճանապարհը ցամաքային գործողությունն է։ Նա ընդունել է, որ ռազմական գործողությունը լուրջ վտանգ է 25 միլիոնանոց Սեուլի համար, որը գտնվում է Հյուսիսային Կորեայի փողային հրետանու հասանելիության սահմաններում։

Սակայն ամերիկացի կոնգրեսմենների խումբը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որում նշված է, որ ԿԺԴՀ-ի դեմ ցամաքային գործողությունը «կարող է հարյուր հազարավոր և նույնիսկ միլիոնավոր մահերի հանգեցնել այն սկսելու առաջին մի քանի օրերին»։
