«Ermenihaber» պարբերականի փոխանցմամբ, թուրքական «Փիրքիուն» թերթի լրագրող Ռեֆիք Դուրպաշը «Պապըալիի Առաջին Գրավաճառը» վերնագրով իր հոդվածում հայտնում է, որ Պոլսի Պապըալի փողոցի առաջին գրավաճառը եղել է ազգությամբ հայ Առաքել Թոզլույանը:

Պոլսում բավական հայտնի այս հայը Պապըալիում իր առաջին գրախանութը բացել է 1875 թվականին եւ ժամանակի ընթացքում նաեւ հրատարակչությամբ է զբաղվել: 1884-ին հրատարակել է իր իսկ գրչին պատկանող «Առաքելի Գրադարան» վերնագրով ցուցակաշարը: Այն իրենից ներկայացնում էր հայտնի ու անհայտ գրքերի մասին տվյալներ, վերնագրեր, որն էլ հեշտացնում էր անհրաժեշտ գրքերի որոնումները:

Asbarez արեւմտահայ կայքն էլ հայտնում է, որ Պապըալի փողոցում առհասարակ բոլոր գրախանութները պատկանել են հայերի: Հայերի շնորհիվ է այս փողոցում, հետո նաեւ ամբողջ Պոլսում գիրքը դարձել վաճառվող ապրանք, նրանք գրքերը ներկայացնում ու վաճառում էին նաեւ խանութից դուրս` սրճարաններում, խանութներում ու մարդաշատ վայրերում:

Առաքել Թոզլույանը հրատարակել է օսմանյան շրջանի թուրք գրողներ Ահմեդ Ռասիմի եւ Հալիթ Զիայի ստեղծագործությունների ժողովածուները: Հրատարակել է Մուալիմ Նաջիի դասագրքերը` հարյուրավոր օրինակներով:

1891-94 թվականներին հայ գրավաճառը բացառիկ հրատարակություն էր կազմակերպել` «գրպանի գիրք» կոչվող շարքը, որոնք տարատեսակ վեպերի կրճատ, համառոտ տարբերակներն էին` փոքրիկ գրքույկների տեսքով:

Մի շարք աղբյուրներ հայտնում են, որ Առաքել Թոզլույանից առաջ Պոլսի Պապըալիում Թորոս անունով մեկ այլ հայ է գրախանութ հիմնել, սակայն գործերը անհաջող են ընթացել ու նա փակել է խանութը: Առաքելից հետ էլ այդ գործը Պոլսում շարունակել են հայերը:
