ՄԱԿ-ի փորձագետները Սիրիայի իշխանություններին են պատասխանատու համարում 2017 թվականի ապրիլի 4-ին Խան Շեյխունում զարինի օգտագործման համար: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, գրել Է Associated Press գործակալությունը:
Սիրիայում քիմիական գրոհների հետաքննության գծով ՄԱԿ-ի եւ Քիմական զենքի արգելման կազմակերպության համատեղ մեխանիզմի ղեկավարությունը «վստահ Է, որ Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետությունն Է պատասխանատու Խան Շեյխունում զարինի օգտագործման համար», գործակալությունը քաղվածք Է արել այն զեկույցի հիմնական եզրակացություններից, որին նրան հաջողվել Է ծանոթանալ:
Associated Press-ը գրում Է, որ «փորձագետների զեկույցում հաստատվում Է ԱՄՆ-ի, Ֆրանսիայի եւ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի եզրակացություններն այն մասին, որ սիրիական ինքնաթիռը զարին պարունակող ռումբ Է նետել Խան Շեյխուն քաղաքի վրա»: Ապրիլի 4-ին սիրիական Խան Շեյխուն քաղաքում իրականացվել Է քիմիական գրոհ, որի զոհ Է դարձել շուրջ 100 մարդ:
Արեւմտյան երկրների մեծ մասը եւ Սիրիայի ընդդիմությունը դրա պատասխանատվությունը բարդել են Սիրիայի կառավարության վրա: Դամասկոսում մեղադրանքները հերքում են: Ռուսաստանը հոկտեմբերի 24-ին ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդում արգելափակել Է Սիրիայում քիմիական գրոհների հետաքննության խնդրով զբաղվող ՄԱԿ-ի եւ ՔԶԱԿ-ի առաքելության մանդատի երկարաձգման բանաձեւը: ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից պատրաստված փաստաթղթի քվեարկության ժամանակ այն պաշտապանել Է 11 երկիր:
Չինաստանը եւ Ղազախստանը ձեռնպահ են մնացել: Դեմ են քվեարկել Ռուսաստանը եւ Բոլիվիան: Հետաքննության համատեղ մեխանիզմի փորձագետների աշխատանքի մանդատը լրանում Է նոյեմբերի 17-ին: Ռուսաաստանի ԱԳ նախարարությունում հայտարարել են, որ Մոսկվան ՄԱԿ-ՔԶԱԿ առաքելության մանդատի վերաբերյալ հետագա քայլերի սխեմա կառաջարկի Հետաքննության համատեղ մեխանիզմի զեկույցի հրապարակումից եւ դրա մանրակրկիտ ուսումնասիրումից հետո, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքսը»:
