Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահների հանդիպման փաստն արդեն ողջունելի է: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք հայտնեց Մերձավոր Արևելքի և Կովկասի երկրների հարցերով ռուս փորձագետ Ստանիսլավ Տարասովը` անդրադառնալով Սերժ Սարգսյանի և Իլհամ Ալիևի` հոկտեմբերի 16-ին Ժնևում կայացած հանդիպմանը:
«Կողմերը պետք է պահպանեն բանակցային գործընթացի ձևաչափը, որը կնվազեցնի ռազմական առճակատման ռիսկը: Հանդիպման մասին այսքանը կարող եմ ասել, քանի որ եղած տեղեկատվությունը շատ քիչ է: Նման մակարդակով հանդիպումների ժամանակ սովորաբար կամ հայտնի է լինում օրակարգը, կամ ինֆորմացիոն արտահոսք է լինում այն մասին, թե ինչ հարցեր կարող են քննարկվել, որը հնարավորություն է տալիս վերլուծաբաններին մեկնաբանություններ կատարել: Այս դեպքում մինչ հանդիպումը իրար հակասող հայտարարություններ եղան: Մասնավորապես, նախագահ Ալիևն ասում էր, թե իբր Հայաստանն ընդունել է ինչ-որ նախապայմաններ, իսկ թե ինչ նախապայմաններ, չի էլ ասում: Հայաստանն ընդգծում է Վիեննայի, Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի պայմանավորվածությունները: Համանախագահներն էլ խոսում են ինչ-որ փաստաթղթի մասին, որի մանրամասները քննարկվում են: Այս իրար հակասող հայտարարությունների ֆոնին դժվար է ինչ-որ մեկնաբանություն անել»,-ասաց Ստանիսլավ Տարասովը:
Անդրադառնալով սահմանային անվտանգության հարցերին, նա նշեց, որ այդ մասին հեշտ է խոսելը, բայց դրա համար անհրաժեշտ է ընդունել Վիեննայի և Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի պայմանավորվածությունները, մասնավորապես, սահմանին վերահսկողական մեխանիզմներ դնելու հարցը:
«Ադրբեջանն, ինչպես տեսանք, չի ընդունում այդ պայմանավորվածությունները, նույնիսկ չի ցանկանում քննարկել այդ թեման: Կընդունի այս անգամ այդ պայմանավորվածությունները, դժվար է ասել, բայց ես, անկեղծ ասած, կասկածում եմ»,-ասաց ռուս վերլուծաբանը:
Շվեյցարիայի Ժնև քաղաքում հոկտեմբերի 16-ին կայացավ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահներ Սերժ Սարգսյանի և Իլհամ Ալիևի հանդիպումը: Արդյունքների վերաբերյալ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահները Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարները հայտարարություն են տարածել`նշելով, որ հանդիպումն անցել է կառուցողական մթնոլորտում: Նախագահներըհամաձայնել են միջոցներ ձեռնարկել բանակցային գործընթացն առաջ մղելու և հավելյալ քայլեր կատարել շփման գծում լարվածությունը նվազեցնելու նպատակով: Համանախագահները գոհունակություն ենհայտնել երկար դադարից հետո կայացած ուղղակի բանակցությունների առթիվ: Նրանք պատրաստակամ են կողմերի հետ շարունակել միջնորդական աշխատանքը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությանխաղաղ բանակցային կարգավորման ուղղությամբ: Որպես հաջորդ քայլ՝ համանախագահները մոտ ապագայում աշխատանքային քննարկումներ կանցկացնեն նախարարների հետ»:
