Հայկական շախմատի առաջատար Լևոն Արոնյանը կրկին երկրորդն է աշխարհում:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ՖԻԴԵ-ն հրապարակել է դասակարգման աղյուսակը, որտեղ Արոնյանն ունի 2801 միավոր: Առաջին տեղում է շախմատի աշխարհի չեմպիոն Մագնուս Կարլսենը:

Լավագույն 10-յակում ընդգրկվել են նաև Մաքսիմ Վաշիե-Լագրավը, Ֆաբիանու Կարուանան, Վլադիմիր Կրամնիկը, Շախրիար Մամեդյարովը, Ուեսլի Սոն, Ալեքսանդր Գրիշչուկը, Վիշի Անանդը և Հիկարու Նակամուրան:

Ընդամենը օրեր առաջ hայկական շախմատիառաջատար Լևոն Արոնյանը դարձավ աշխարհիգավաթակիր: ԵզրափակիչումԱրոնյանը մրցում էրչին շախմատիստ Դին Լիժենի հետ: Դասական 4 պարտիաներից հետոշախմատիստներն ունեին 2-ական միավոր, և որոշիչ եղավ թայ-բրեյքը: Արագշախմատիառաջին պարտիայում Արոնյանը սպիտակներով գերազանցեց մրցակցին: Երկրորդպարտիայում ևս Արոնյանը հաղթեց: Հավաքելով 4 միավոր՝ Արոնյանը 12 տարի անց կրկինդարձավ աշխարհի գավաթակիր: Նա առաջին շախմատիստն է, ով շահում էԱշխարհի գավաթըերկրորդ անգամ: Մրցաշարն անցկացվում էր, այսպես կոչված, «նոկաուտ» համակարգով՝մրցախաղումպարտվողը դուրս էր մնում հետագա պայքարից: Խաղարկությանը մասնակցումէին 128 շախմատիստ: Արոնյանը իրավունք է ստացելմասնակցելու 2018 թվականի մարտի 10-28-ը Բեռլինում կայանալիք հավակնորդների մրցաշարին: Լևոն Արոնյանըաշխարհիգավաթակիր էր դարձել նաև 2005 թվականին: Կրկնակի գավաթակիրը շախմատայինօլիմպիադայի եռակի, շախմատիաշխարհի թիմային առաջնության հաղթող է:
