Տղամարդը լքեց կնոջը հղիության վերջին շրջանում՝ թողնելով անթիվ խնդիրների հետ. սակայն այն3 տարվա համառ ջանքերից հետո ավստրալացի մի զույգի հաջողվում է ծնողներ դառնալու հնարավորություն ստանալ: Նրանք գնում են իրենց վաղուց երազած մեծ տունը ու սպասում էին իրենց առաջնեկի ծննդին: Սակայն ստացվում է այնպես, որ ապագա մայրիկին ամուսինը լքում է հղիության 36-րդ շաբաթում: Ամանդան մնում է միայնակ մի շարք լուրջ խնդիրների հետ միասին՝ ստանալով նաև հոգեբանական լուրջ հարված:
Ի ուրախություն բոլորիս՝ այս կյանքում դեռ բարի մարդիկ կան: Ամանդայի ընկերուհին՝ Աննան, դիմում է հայտնի ռադիոհաղորդումներից մեկին, որի հաղորդավարին շատ է հետաքրքրում կնոջ պատմությունը: Ամանդայի համար իսկական հանելուկ էր այն, որ իրենհրավիրել էին ամենահայտնի ռադիոհաղորդումներից մեկը: Նա ավելի շատ զարմացավ, երբ հաղորդման ժամանակ իր բնակարանից ուղիղ եթեր միացրին: Նախ նրան հայտնեցին, որ բնակարանի վերանորոգման բոլոր հարցերն իրենք իրենց վրա են վերցնում:
