ԵՊՀ ուսանողները երեկ հանդիպել էին Կարո Փայլանի հետ: Թուրքիայում հայազգի պատգամավորի կերպարն ընդհանրապես այս օրերին դարձել է բավական թրենդային:Նրա հետ լուսանկարվում են բոլորը, անգամ վարչապետը: ԵՊՀ ուսանողներից մեկն էլ ոչ ավել ոչ պակաս հարց էր տվել, թե երբ է Հայաստանի դրոշը ծածանվելու Արարատի գագաթին: Ինչին Կարո Փայլանը պատասխանել էր, որ լեռն անշուշտ մերն է, բայց շատ բան է փոխվել, այնտեղ քրդեր են ապրում:
Փայլանը կարող էր պատասխանել, որ անպայման մի օր, մոտ ապագայում Հայաստանի դրոշը ծածանվելու է Արարատի գագաթին: Բայց ապրելով ու գործելով Թուրքիայում, հասկանալով թուրքական ներքաղաքական կյանքը, հաճախ նաև հալածվելով, Փայլանն ամեն դեպքում չի կորցնում ադեկվատությունը: Ավելին ՝ սթափ գնահատական է տալիս ՝նշելով քրդական հանգամանքը: Սա առավել կարևոր է հատկապես սպասվող քրդական հանրաքվեի կոնտեքստում:
Իսկ այս ամենը ԵՊՀ-ում կամ չգիտեն կամ գիտեն, բայց պաթոսն ավելի ուժեղ է, քան ռացիոնալ մտածողությունը: Առավել տխուր է, երբ նման հարց տալիս են երիտասարդները, որոնք գուցե կարող են ներթուրքական իրավիճակին չտիրապետել, բայց նաև չպիտի տիրապետեն այն միագիծ ու պրիմիտիվ մտածողությանը, որ կարող է նման հարցեր ծնել:
