Աշխատանքային այցով ԱՄՆ-ում գտնվող Սերժ Սարգսյանը սեպտեմբերի 19-ին ՄԱԿ–ի կենտրոնակայանում հանդիպում է ունեցել Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեի նախագահ Պիտեր Մաուրերի հետ:
Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունը։
ԿԽՄԿ նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի շրջանակներում հանդիպման հնարավորության համար և գոհունակություն հայտնել Հայաստանի հետ Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեի սերտ համագործակցության կապակցությամբ: Պիտեր Մաուրերը վստահեցրել է, որ կազմակերպությունը պատրաստակամ է նույն ոգով շարունակելու փոխգործակցությունը, որը հաջողությամբ զարգանում է հատկապես առողջապահության, պաշտպանության, անհայտ կորած անձանց որոնողական աշխատանքի, մարդասիրական և մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ոլորտներում:
Նախագահը նույնպես կարևորել է Հայաստանի և Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեի համագործակցությունը, ինչպես նաև այդ կառույցի մարդասիրական առաքելությունը: Նախագահ Սարգսյանը բարձր է գնահատել կազմակերպության ջանքերը նաև ԼՂ հակամարտության հումանիտար հարցերի լուծման գործում: Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանը մեծապես կարևորում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում Կարմիր խաչի ներկայությունը և կազմակերպության կողմից ծավալվող գործունեությունը:
