Հայաստանն ու Սիրիան ավելի քան բարեկամ երկրներ են: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝«Հայաստան-Սփյուռք» 6-րդ համաժողովի շրջանակում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այս մասին վստահեցրեց Սիրիայի խորհրդարանի հայազգի պատգամավոր Ժիրայր Ռեիսյանը:
«Սիրիայի խորհրդարանի մեջ հնչում են ժողովրդին հետաքրքրող, Սիրիայի ու նրա բարեկամ երկրների փոխգործակցությանն առնչվող հարցեր, որոնց մեջ տեղ ունեն նաև Հայաստան-Սիրիա փոխհարաբերությունները: Մենք ունենք Հայաստան-Սիրիա խորհրդարանական հանձնախումբ, որն իր աշխատանքներն է տանում»,-նշեց նա:
Անդրադառնալով Սիրիայում տիրող իրավիճակին՝ պատգամավոր ասաց, որ պատերազմի ծանր տարիներն արդեն անցել են, սակայն դա ամենեւին չի նշանակում, թե այլեւս դժվար օրեր չկան:
«Սիրիան իր ժողովրդով, իր բանակով, ղեկավարությամբ արդեն իսկ ճիշտ ճանապարհի վրա էր, արդարության համար էր կռվում, եւ պայքար էր մղում ոչ միայն Սիրիայի ժողովրդի, այլև օտարազգիների հանգստի, ապահովության համար: Սիրիայի կառավարությունը կարողացավ պայքարել ծայրահեղական, կրոնամոլ, արմատական զինյալ ահաբեկիչների դեմ, որոնք եկել էին երկիրն ապականելու: Այն երկրները, որոնք խրախուսում էին ահաբեկիչներին, արդեն իսկ պարտվել են»,- շեշտեց Ժիրայր Ռեիսյանը:
