Հայաստանի և Արցախի զինված ուժերն անկայուն տարածաշրջանում անվտանգության և խաղաղության երաշխավորն են: «Հայաստան-Սփյուռք» 6-րդ համաժողովի ժամանակ իր ելույթում այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը: «Համաշխարհային հանրության առջև մենք կատարում ենք մեր միջազգային պարտավորությունները: Հայ զինվորն է այստեղ պահպանում խաղաղությունը իրականության զգացումը կորցրած հարևան երկրի իշխանությունների դեմ: Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունների կողմից հայատյացության քարոզը երկրի ներսում և այդ քարոզը միջազգային ասպարեզ արտահանելու փորձերը ստեղծում են մի վիճակ, երբ հայ հասարակությունը Արցախում, Հայաստանում և սփյուռքում ավելի է կարծրացնելու փոխզիջման պատրաստ իր դիրքորոշումը»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ընդգծեց ՀՀ Նախագահը:

Նա հավելեց, որ չի կարող լինել խաղաղություն մինչև Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարությունը չհամակերպվի միջազգյաին հանրության կողմից ամրագրված սկզբունքների գոյության հետ: «Մենք համոզված ենք, որ միջազգային խաղաղության պահպանման և հակամարտությունների կանխարգելման համար կարևոր է մարդու իրավունքների, այդ թվում՝ ժողովուրդների իրավահավասարության և ինքնորոշման իրավունքի իրացումը, քանի որ գրեթե բոլոր դեպքերում այդ իրավունքի սահմանափակումը առաջացնում է քաղաքական ճգնաժամ»,- ընդգծեց ՀՀ Նախագահը:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը շեշտեց՝ ԼՂ հակամարտության կարգավորման հարցում Հայաստանի դիրքորոշումը նույնն է մնացել՝ Արցախի Հանրապետության բնակչությունը ունի սեփական երկրում ազատ, անկախ և խաղաղ ապրելու բնական իրավունք:
