«Հանքարդյունաբերության ոլորտի թափանցիկության բարելավում» ծրագրի աջակցությամբ տեղի ունեցավ Հանրապետական երկրաբանական ֆոնդի www.geo-fund.am  կայքի շնորհանդեսը։ «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ, կայքը ներկայացրեց ՀՀ կառավարության աշխատակազմի ղեկավարի տեղակալ Վահե Ջիլավյանը: «Հանքարդյունաբերությունը մեծ տեղ է զբաղեցնում մեր երկրի տնտեսության մեջ։ Հենց այդ փաստը հաշվի առնելով՝ ՀՀ կառավարության օրակարգում է ոլորտի թափանցիկության և հաշվետվողականության մակարդակի հարցը։ Կառավարությունը գիտակցում է հանքարդյունաբերության, այդ թվում՝ երկրաբանության մասին տեղեկատվության՝ հանրությանն ավելի հասանելի դարձնելու անհրաժեշտությունը։ Դրա շնորհիվ հանրությունը լիարժեք կտիրապետի առկա իրավիճակին»,- նշեց Ջիլավյանը։
ՀՀ կառավարության կողմից իրականացվող հանքարդյունաբերության ոլորտի թափանցիկության և հաշվետվողականության ապահովմանն ուղղված նախաձեռնությունների համատեքստում կարևորվում է պետական մարմինների գործունեության թափանցիկությունը։ 
ԱՄՆ Միջազգային զարգացման գործակալության (ՄԶԳ) հայաստանյան առաքելության տնօրեն Դեբորա Գրիզերն էլ ասաց, որ շատ կարևոր է ֆոնդի տվյալների թվայնացումը, որն օգնում է արժեքավոր տեղեկատվությունը պահպանել։
«Ես վստահ եմ, որ սա հավասարապես կարևոր է նաև Երկրաբանական ֆոնդի համար և այս կայքը լայն տարածում կունենա»,- նշեց Դեբորա Գրիզերը։ 
«Հանքարդյունաբերության ոլորտի թափանցիկության բարելավում» ծրագիրը ՀՀ կառավարությունը մեկնարկել է 2015 թվականին ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ աջակցությամբ։
Հիմնական բաղադրիչներից է՝ Հանրապետական երկրաբանական ֆոնդի տվյալների թվայնացումը և հրապարակումը։ Ծրագրի շրջանակում ձեռք են բերվել Ֆոնդում պահվող փաստաթղթերի թվայնացման համար անհրաժեշտ սարքավորումները, անցկացվել են ֆոնդի աշխատակիցների կարողությունների բարելավմաննն ուղղված ուսուցումներ։
«Հանրապետական երկրաբանական ֆոնդ»-ը պետական ոչ առևտրային կազմակերպություն է։ Այն ստեղծվել է 2002 թվականին ՀՀ էներգետիկ ենթակառուցվածքների և բնական պաշարների նախարարության կազմում։ Ֆոնդի պահոցում անցած դարի 20-ական թվականներից հավաքագրվել և պահպանվում է հանրապետության տարածքում կատարված ընդերքի երկրաբանական ուսումնասիրությունների տեղեկատվությունը։ Այնտեղ պահվում են նաև օգտակար հանածոների հանքավայրերի շահագործման ընթացքում ստացված ամբողջ երկրաբանական և այլ տեղեկատվություններ՝ համապատասխան փաստաթղթերի տեսքով։ 
Ներկայումս թվայնացվել և հրապարակվել է ֆոնդում առկա փաստաթղթերի 90 տոկոսը։ Թվայնացման աշխատանքներն ամբողջությամբ կավարտվեն 2017 թվականի նոյեմբերին։ Կայքը շարունակաբար թարմացվելու է Ֆոնդում նոր նյութերի հայտնվելուն պես։
