Լրացավ Կարեն Կարապետյանի կառավարության մեկ տարին: Կարծես հարցապնդումների առատություն չեղավ, չեղավ նաև մամուլի ասուլիս, որտեղ վարչապետը կամփոփեր տարին: Իսկ սկզբում Կարապետյանը շատ ոգևորված էր հանրության հետ շփումներով: Հետո կամ հիասթափվեց լրագրողներից ու հասարակական ակտիվ շերտերից կամ էլ ներկայացնելու բան չունի: Խոստումնալից մեկնարկից մնաց միայն վարչապետի սիմպատիչնի կերպարը, գեղեցիկ կոստյումները, հանրության շրջանում վարկանիշը: Վարկանիշ, որ հիմնված է բացառապես արտաքին գեղագիտական շեշտադրումների, ոչ թե արդյունավետ կառավարման վրա: Հայաստանյան հասարակությունը թերևս հոգնել է քաղաքական ու տնտեսական սպասելիքներից ու պաշտոնյաներին գնահատում է միայն այդ կրիտերիաներով: Ինչ արած: 

Ընդհանրապես, չնայած հուպ տալու, շաբաթ-կիրակի անդադար աշխատելու վարչապետի կոչերի, վերջինիս տեսքը միշտ տեղն է: Հնարավոր չէ վարչապետին ֆիքսել հոգնած կամ միանման շորերով: Հավանաբար կան մարդիկ, ովքեր հասցնում են այս թոհուբոհի մեջ զբաղվել վարչապետի իմիջով: Հետաքրքիր է անձամբ ինչքան ժամանակ է ծախսում ինքը ՝ վարչապետը, նման իմիջ ունենալու համար: 

Գեղագիտական տեսանկյունից խնդիր չկա: Ամեն ինչ շատ հաճելի է աչքի համար: Մանավանդ, որ երկրի կանանց մեծամասնությունը համակրում է վարչապետին, իսկ երկրում կանայք այս պահին մեծամասնություն են կազմում, քանի որ տղամարդկանց մի մասը բանակում է, մյուս մասը ՝ խոպանում: 

Մնում է հասկանալ ինչքան է այս ամենը հաճելի քաղաքական իմաստով, երբ, ըստ էության, որևէ ցուցանիշով ոչ միայն դրական միտումներ չկան, այլև կան բացասական միտումներ, բայց դրայվ, չարքաշ աշխատանք պահանջող վարչապետն ինքը արտաքին նշաններից դատելով իր իսկ հռչակած մոտեցումների հետևանքները չի կրում: Հավանաբար հասկանալով, որ ոչ պոպուլյար բեկումներ հնարավոր չէ անել տնտեսության մեջ, վարչապետը որոշել է ամրապնդել հանրության մեջ իր համակրանքի չափաբաժինը, որը մեծապես հիմնված է սիմպատիչնի մնալու վրա:
