Երեկ լրատվամիջոցներում թիվ մեկ քննարկվող թեման, բնականաբար, «Ծառուկյան» դաշինքի ղեկավար Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի՝ ԱԺ-ում տված հարցազրույցն էր: Հարցազրույցը սպասված էր, քանի որ խոսքը գնում էր Հայաստանի երկրորդ քաղաքական ուժի ղեկավարի դիրքորոշման մասին՝ երկրում այս պահին ամենաշոշափվող թեմաների շուրջ: 
Անդրադառնալով վերջերս լրագրողների կողմից բավականին չարչրկված ՀՀ ապագա վարչապետի թեմային՝ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը նշեց, որ ժամանակը չէ այժմ անդրադառնալ այդ հարցին, քանի որ վարչապետի թեկնածուին առաջադրելը է ՀՀԿ-ի խնդիրն է, իսկ քանի դեռ ՀՀԿ-ն այդ հարցով որոշում չի կայացրել, հարցը քննարկելը նպատակահարմար չէ: Այսպիսով Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը ցույց տվեց, որ ներկայումս մամուլի կողմից ամենաշատ թմբկահարվող այս թեման ժամանակավրեպ է և լրատվամիջոցների կողմից արհեստականորեն ստեղծված օրակարգ:

Մյուս կարևոր հարցը ԵԱՏՄ-ից Հայաստանի դուրս գալու մասին ԵԼՔ-ի նախաձեռնությունն էր, որը նույնպես այսօր հանդիսանում է օրակարգային թեմա: Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը նշեց, որ ցանկացած կուսակցության իրավունքն է հանդես գալ առաջարկներով և ԵԼՔ-ը օգտվել է իր իրավունքից: Պարզապես ԵԱՏՄ-ից դուրս գալը Հայաստանի համար կարևորագույն հարցերից է, ուստի հարցը պետք է լուրջ քննարկման արժանանա: Մենք նախ պետք է հասկանանք, թե որքանով են մեզ սպասում այլ միջազգային կազմակերպություններում, պետք է նաև հասկանանք մեր պոտենցիալ հնարավորությունները ԵԱՏՄ-ում, որոնք, գուցե, ամբողջությամբ ռեալիզացված չեն, այնուհետև ԵԱՏՄ-ից դուրս գալու հարց դնենք: Հասկանալի է, որ արտաքին քաղաքականությանը վերաբերող հարցերում պետք է «յոթ չափել մեկ կտրել» և հենց դա էր շեշտում Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը:

Այսպիսով պարզ է դառնում, որ որպես դաշինքի ղեկավար, Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը ընդունում է, որ պետք է քննարկվի ցանկացած խմբակցության առաջարկություն: Բայց նաև լինելով տնտեսական գործընթացների մեջ թաթախված մարդ, հասկանալով տարբեր երկրների հետ առևտրային հարաբերությունների, առանց արգելքների ներմուծման և արտահանման որոշիչ նշանակությունը, Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը նաև նշում է, որ պետք է փորձենք հստակ իմանալ, թե ինչ ենք շահելու ԵԱՏՄ-ից դուրս գալով և ինչ ենք կորցնելու: Այսպիսով Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը նշում է, որ քաղաքականությունը մնում է քաղաքականություն, բայց ցանկացած նախաձեեռնությամբ կամ առաջարկով հանդես գալիս հատկապես խորհրդարանական խմբակցությունը պետք է նաև հասկանա, թե դրանից որքան է տուժում ՀՀ շարքային քաղաքացին և հենց շարքային քաղաքացու շահն է ստիպում բազմակողմանիորեն քննարկել այս նախաձեռնությունը և դրանից հետո միայն որոշում կայացնել հարցի շուրջ: Այսինքն Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը շեշտում է, որ հատկապես արտաքին հարաբերությունների ոլորտում պետք է լինել հնարավորինս շրջահայաց և հեռատես և զերծ մնալ կտրուկ որոշումներից: 

Զարմանալի չէ, որ երեկ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի հարցազրույցը զլմ-ների կողմից ամենաշատ լուսաբանված և վերլուծվող թեման էր: Դրանում տրվեցին հակիրճ, բայց սպառիչ պատասխաններ բոլոր հարցերին, որոնք նաև ամբողջությամբ պարզաբանեցին «Ծառուկյան» դաշինքի դիրքորոշումը վերոնշյալ հարցերի շուրջ:
