Սիրիայի ֆուտբոլի հավաքականը Աշխարհի առաջնության նախընտրական փուլի վերջին հանդիպման վերջին րոպեներին ոչ–ոքի կորզեց ու դուրս էկավ հաջորդ փուլ, որտեղ արդեն կարող է նվաճել իրավունք Աշխարհի առաջնությանը հանդես գալու: Խմբային փուլից հետո Սիրիային մեծ դժվարություններ են սպասվում, հնարավոր է լինեն ուժեղ մրցակիցներ և Սիրիան չկարողանա հաղթահարել այդ արգելքը:

Բայց այստեղ կարևոր է այլ բան. արդեն վեց տարի պատերազմի մեջ գտնվող, արնաքամ եղած երկրի հավաքականը երեկ խաղում էր ահռելի նվիրումով ու հիմա էլ շանս ունի դառնալ վերջին տարիների սիրիական դժոխքի միակ լուսավոր կետը: Հավաքականի հաջողությունն այլևս քաղաքական հարց է, ռեաբիլիտացվելու հիանալի առիթ սիրիական հասարակության համար: Մեծ ֆուտբոլն, ընդհանրապես, բացի սպորտից ու բիզնեսից, այլևս նաև քաղաքական հարց է:

Դա ակնհայտ երևաց, երբ Ղարաբաղ անունով ադրբեջանական ակումբի վրա այդ երկրի վերնախավը ծախսեց այնքան ռեսուրս, որ թիմն այսօր հանդես գա Չեմպիոնների լիգայի խմբային փուլում: Այնպիսի երկրներ, ինչպիսիք են Հայաստանը, Ադրբեջանը, Մերձավոր Արևելքում ՝ Սիրիան, ֆուտբոլը դառնում է քաղաքականության գործիք:

Այս հանգամանքը պետք է որ ավելի մոտիվացներ հայաստանյան ֆուտբոլի ղեկավարությանն ու Հայաստանի իշխանությանն ընդհանրապես: Բայց մենք շարունակում ենք գնալ պահպանողական ճանապարհով: Իհարկե, երբեմն Ռուբեն Հայրապետյանին մեղադրում են անհարկի, որովհետև Հայրապետյանը չի կարող վազել մեր կիսապաշտպանների փոխարեն կամ գոլ խփել հարձակվողի փոխարեն:

Ակնհայտ է, որ նույնիսկ հավաքականի առաջատար Մխիթարյանը չի ներդնում իր կարողությունների գոնե կեսը: Բայց խնդիրների հիմնական պատասխանատուն մնում է Հայրապետյանը: Միգուցե Հայրապետյանի մարտավարությունը ֆեդերացիայում ճիշտ է: Բայց դրանում համոզվելու համար պետք է այլ բան փորձարկել, այլ ղեկավար կամ առնվազն այլ ոճ: Իսկ երբ նույն մարդու նույն կառավարման մեթոդով արդեն մի քանի տարի է հավաքականը չի կարողանում միջազգային մրցաշարերում հաջողել, այդ մարդն ու նրա մեթոդը դառնում են քննադատելի:

Ինչ վերաբերում է ֆուտբոլի քաղաքական կողմին ու մեր իշխանությունների անգործությանը: Ակնհայտ է, որ ոչ ռեսուրսներ, ոչ ջանքեր, ոչ էլ սիմվոլիկ վերաբերմունք մեր իշխանությունը ֆուտբոլի հանդեպ չի ցանկանում ծախսել: Փոխարենը ահռելի ռեսուրսներ են ծախսվում ադրբեջանական քարոզչությանը դիմակայելու համար: Իհարկե, դժվար թե այդ գումարներով հնարավոր լինել եվրոլիգաների խմբային փուլ անցնող ակումբ ստեղծել: Բայց գոնե կարելի էր ցույց տալ նախաձեռնողականություն:

Հատկապես, երբ հակառակորդ կողմը նման հաջողության է հասել ու վստահաբար դա օգտագործելու է նաև մեր դեմ:
