Հայաստանի Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն անդրադարձել է Ադրբեջանի քաղաքական ղեկավարության կոռուպցիոն սկանդալների վերաբերյալ արևմտյան մամուլի վերջին հրապարակուներին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ՀՀԿ ԳՄ նիստից հետո լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահն ընդգծեց՝ որևէ մեկի համար գաղտնիք չէ, որ Ադրբեջանն և կոռուպցիան նույնանուն հասկացություններ են: «Ադրբեջանը մի երկիր է, որը թե՛ ԵԽԽՎ-ում, թե՛ տարբեր հարթակներում փորձել է կոռուպցիոն գործողություններ ծավալել, և դրա նպատակը եղել է նաև հակահայկական գործունեությունը: Եվ ես կարծում եմ, որ մեր եվրոպացի գործընկերները կիրականացնեն քննություն, և այդ ամեն ինչը կունենա տրամաբանական շարունակություն, իսկ տրամաբանական շարունակությունը տարբեր տիպի սանկցիաներն են: Ինձ համար նորություն չէ նման կոռուպցիոն սկանդալը, որովհետև Ադրբեջան պետության էությունը նացիզմն է, ֆաշիզմը, ռասիզմը, հայատյացությունը, և մյուս կողմից էլ նաև հակաժողովրդավարությունը ու կոռուպցիան»,- նշեց նա:

ՀՀԿ խոսնակը ծիծաղելի է համարում հարևան պետության ղեկավարության պաշտոնական հայտարարությունը, թե այս ամենի հետևում հայկական լոբբին է կանգնած: Շարմազանովը հորդորեց  եվրոպացի գործընկերներին քննարկել ու հետևություններ անել. «Նաև նորություն չէ, որ Ադրբեջանը հակահայկական քաղաքականության մեջ հսկայական գումարներ է ներդրել: Սա փաստ է, և ես չեմ բացառում, որ առաջիկայում նոր փաստեր կլինեն, որովհետև չեմ կարծում, որ Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարությունն այդքանով կսահմանափակվի` միայն 1 կամ 2 երկրների պատգամավորներին կաշառելով»,- նկատեց Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:
