Վերջին տարիներին Ռուսաստանի կայսերապաշտական պսիխոզն այնքան է սրվել, որ նրանք ամենուր մայդան են փնտրում: Եվ դա անում են ոչ միայն ռեալ քաղաքականության, այլև վերացական սիմվոլների մասով: Իրենց կայսերականությանը միս ու արյուն տալու համար ռուսները որդեգրել են սովետականության միֆականացման քաղաքականություն, չնայած թե տնտեսական, թե քաղաքական համակարգով ոչ միայն տարբերվում են Սովետական միությունից, այլև հաճախ դրա հակառակ կողմն են ներկայացնում:

Օրինակ, Պուտինը նշում է, որ ԽՍՀՄ փլուզումն իր համար մեծ կորուստ էր: Կամ ուկրաինական ճգնաժամի դեպքում քարոզչական մեքենան անընդհատ մեջբերում է ԽՍՀՄ տարիներին ռուս-ուկրաինական եղբայրության մասին: Նույնն արվում է նաև ռուս-հայկական եղբայրության մասին, բայց ոչ միայն ԽՍՀՄ-ը հիշելով: Բայց մյուս կողմից, երբ ռուս քաղաքացիները սկսեցին ինքնաբուխ Ստալինին արձաններ ձոնել, Կրեմլը վախեցավ հասարակության մեջ բռնապետի նման պահանջարկից և Վլադիմիր իշխանի արձանը տեղադրեց Մոսկվայի կենտրոնում, հասկացնելով, որ Պուտինն իհարկե սիրում է ռուսականությունն ու միապետությունը, բայց չի պատրաստվում Ստալինի պես արյունարբու լինել:

Այս մշակութային խաժամուժը Ռուսաստանում տիրում է արդեն քանի տարի: Եվ սրա մասին չէինք խոսի, եթե ռուսական կողմը չանդրադառնար ԵԼՔ-ի նախաձեռնությանը: Սա ևս տեղավորվում է այդ խաժամուժի մեջ ` առանց խորանալու հայաստանյան քաղաքական գործընթացների նյուանսների մեջ, ռուս պառլամենտականները հիմնվելով սիմվոլների փոփոխության առաջարկի վրա ԵԼՔ-ի նախաձեռնությունն անվանում են թշնամական:

Այնինչ, ռուսական կողմը պիտի շնորհակալ լիներ ԵԼՔ-ից` առնվազն երկու կետով: Որ անվերահորեն «դուխ են տալիս» իրենց շահերի լոբինգով զբաղված վարչապետ Կարապետյանին: Երկրորդ ` ամեն գնով քողարկում են ոչ միայն ԵԱՏՄ-ից դուրս գալու հարցը, այլև արևմտամետության դիսկուրսն արմատախիլ են անում քաղաքական բովանդակության իմաստով և փոխարենը այն կոծկում ` սիմվոլների փոփոխության մասին նախաձեռնություններով:
