Ադրբեջանի ազգային անվտանգության նախարարության 9 բարձրաստիճան աշխատակիցներ, այդ թվում` 4 գեներալ հեռացվել են զբաղեցրած պաշտոններից:

Իրենց պաշտոններից զրկվել են անդրազգային տնտեսական հանցավորության դեմ պայքարի վարչության պետ, գեներալ-մայոր Սուբահիր Գուրբանովը, Գլխավոր վարչության պետ, գեներալ-մայոր Փարվիզ Սաֆարովը, զինվորական զորամասի հրամանատար, գեներալ-մայոր Վուգար Ալլահգուլիեւը, օդանավակայանների գծով ԱԱՆ վարչության պետ Փարվիզ Վելիեւը, ԱԱՆ կադրերի վարչության պետի տեղակալ գնդապետ Թեհրան Բաբաթովը, ինչպես նաեւ ԱԱՆ Խաթաիի, Փիրալլահի եւ Մասալլիի շրջանային վարչությունների պետերը:
Նշվում է, որ ԱԱՆ-ում կադրային ջարդը շարունակվելու է, եւ սպասվում է, որ առաջիկայում զբաղեցրած պաշտոններից կհեռացվեն ԱԱՆ-ի այլ բարձրաստիճան աշխատակիցներ եւս:
Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիեւի հրամանագրով հոկտեմբերի 17-ին երկրի Ազգային անվտանգության նախարար Էլդար Մահմուդովին անակնկալ կերպով պաշտոնանկ արվելուց անմիջապես հետո հիշյալ նախարարությունում Անվտանգության պետական ծառայության եւ Ադրբեջանի գլխավոր դատախազության կողմից համատեղ անցկացված հատուկ գործողությունների արդյունքում ձերբակալվել են ԱԱՆ մոնիտորինգային կենտրոնի (հեռախոսների լսման վարչություն) աշխատակիցներ, մասնավորապես, Նաթավան Մամեդովան եւ գեներալ-մայոր Թեյմուր Գուլիեւը, ինչպես նաեւ Հակաահաբեկչական կենտրոնի պետի տեղակալ Իլգար Ալիեւը: Էլդար Մահմուդովը ներկայում գտնվում է իր տանը, փաստորեն տնային կալանքի տակ է:
Անդրադառնալով Էլդար Մահմուդովի աշխատանքից հեռացվելու պատճառին, մասնավորապես moderator.az կայքը գրել էր, որ գլխավորապես դա կապված է այն բանի հետ, որ ձերբակալված աշխատակիցները Էլդար Մահմուդովի հանձնարարությամբ լսել են Ադրբեջանի նախագահի, նրա ընտանիքի անդամների, ինչպես նաեւ իշխանության բարձրաստիճան անձանց եւ նրանց ընտանիքների հեռախոսային խոսակցությունները, ինչը, սովորաբար արվում է երկրում «հեղաշրջում» իրականացվելուց առաջ:
Ադրբեջանական ԶԼՄ-ները ԱԱՆ-ը 11 տարի ղեկավարած Էլդար Մահմուդովի պաշտոնանկության հնարավոր պատճառներից են համարում նաեւ երկրի Միջազգային բանկի նախկին ղեկավար Ջահանգիր Հաջիեւի հետ կոռուպցիոն կապերը, սեփական ապօրինի բիզնեսները եւ այլն:
«Ազադլըգ» թերթն էլ գրել է, որ «բոլոր դեպքերում, ԱԱՆ երկարամյա ղեկավարին «հարվածելը» ցույց է տալիս, որ իշխանության ներսում խարդավանքներն ուժգնանում են եւ ներիշխանական խմբավորումների միջեւ պայքարը հասել է գագաթակետին»:
« Վերջին օրերին ԱԱՆ-ի շրջակայքում ստեղծված աղմուկը միանշանակ իշխանության նկատմամբ հասարակության ատելության արտահայտությունն է: Մարդկանց մոտ արմատացած այն կարծիքը, որ «մեկը մյուսին ուտելով սատկելու են», եւս ծագում է այդ ատելությունից», -ամփոփել է թերթը:
