Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը սեպտեմբերի 4-ին ընդունել է Վերակառուցման և զարգացման եվրոպական բանկի (ՎԶԵԲ) նախագահ Սումա Չակրաբարտիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից,Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրերին և բարձր գնահատել ՎԶԵԲ-ի հետ Հայաստանի երկարամյա արդյունավետ համագործակցությունը, որը, նրա գնահատմամբ, անցած ավելի քան երկու տասնամյակում անփոխարինելի աջակցություն է ցուցաբերել Հայաստանի տնտեսության զարգացմանն ու բարեփոխումների իրականացմանը: Զրուցակիցները համակարծիք են եղել, որ Հայաստանի և ՎԶԵԲ-ի միջև համագործակցությունը ռազմավարական բնույթ է կրում և փոխադարձաբար շնորհավորել են միմյանց՝ ՎԶԵԲ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցության 25-ամյակի առթիվ:

Հանդիպման մասնակիցները երկուստեք հույս են հայտնել, որ Հայաստանի և ՎԶԵԲ-ի քառորդդարյա արդյունավետ փոխգործակցությունն այսուհետ ևս կշարունակվի նույն հաջողությամբ զարգանալ, և բանկի նախագահ Սումա Չակրաբարտիի այցը նոր լիցք կհաղորդի երկկողմ հարաբերություններին:

Սումա Չակրաբարտին վերահաստատել է ՎԶԵԲ պատրաստակամությունը՝ շարունակելու աջակցությունը Հայաստանին, ընդգծելով, որ երկրի տնտեսական քաղաքականությունն ու իրականացվող բարեփոխումները համահունչ են բանկի ծրագրերին: Նա գոհունակությամբ է փաստել, որ գործընկերությունը տարեցտարի ընդլայնվում և ամրապնդվում է՝ ընդգրկելով տնտեսության տարբեր ոլորտներ:

Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել Հայաստանի հետ ՎԶԵԲ-ի համագործակցության առաջիկա ծրագրերին, Հայաստանի առաջնահերթություններին, տնտեսության զարգացման ներուժին և հեռանկարին:
