Մարդու իրավունքների խախտումները և Բաքվի Եվրոպական խաղերը. Vice

Անցած ուրբաթ 100 մլն դոլար արժողությամբ արարողությամբ Բաքվի նորակառույց մարզադաշտում բացվեցին առաջին Եվրոպական խաղերը։ Սա Եվրոպական խաղերի առաջին տարին է, որը հյուրընկալելու համար մրցում էր միայն Ադրբեջանը, գրում է Vice կայքը։
48 եվրոպական օլիմպիական կոմիտեներից 38-ը քվեարկել է, որպեսզի մրցումներն անցկացվեն մի երկրում, որն ինչպես նշում է Human Rights Watch կազմակերպությունը՝ «սարսափելի քաղաքական վիճակում է»: Դեռ ավելին, կայքը նշում է, որ 2014 թվականին Ադրբեջանը Transparency International իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպության կողմից Մալիից և Բելառուսից ավելի կոռումպացված է գնահատվել:
Խաղերի կազմակերպման պաշտոնական ծախսերը 1,2 միլիարդ դոլար են հայտարարվել, չնայած հաշվարկների համաձայն՝ իրական թվերը շատ ավելին են: Լինելով Եվրասիայում Ռուսաստանից և Ղազախստանից հետո երրորդ ամենախոշոր նավթ արտադրող երկիրը՝ Ադրբեջանը փորձում է իրեն ներկայացնել որպես ավելի ժամանակակից և առաջադեմ պետություն, չնայած դրան՝ երկիրն առաջնորդվում է իշխող ռեժիմի բռնաճնշումների և բռնակալության մեթոդներով:
Զարմանալի չէ, որ վարչակարգն օգտագործում է խաղերը որպես քաղաքական ցուցամոլության վարժանք և պահանջված հնարավորություն՝ մարդու իրավունքների հետ կապված իրավիճակից ուշադրությունը շեղելու համար։ 2016 թվականի «Ֆորմուլա-1» մրցաշարի Գրան պրին, 2020 թվականի Եվրոպայի ֆուտբոլի առաջնության խաղերը և այժմ Եվրոպական խաղերը ցույց են տալիս, որ Ադրբեջանը զբաղված է մարզական խոշոր իրադարձությունները մարդու իրավունքների ոտնահարման փաստերից շեղելու նպատակով օգտագործելով:
The Vice-ը հիշեցնում է երկրում ձերբակալված բազմաթիվ լրագրողների և ակտիվիստների մասին, 10 ամիս Բաքվում Շվեյցարիայի դեսպանատանն ապաստանած և խաղերի բացման արարողության գիշերը Ֆրանսիայի արտգործնախարարի ինքնաթիռով երկրից հեռացած իրավապաշտպան Էմին Հուսեյնովի և ճաղերի հետևում գտնվող լրագրող Խադիջա Իսմայիլովայի գործերի մասին:
Կայքը նշում է, որ խաղերի կազմկոմիտեն գլխավորում է Ադրբեջանի առաջին տիկին Մեհրիբան Ալիևան և հիշեցնում, որ արտահոսված փաստաթղթերում Ադրբեջանի իշխանություններին ամերիկյան դիտորդները նմանեցնում էին «Եվրոպայում Միջին դարերի ֆեոդալիզմին՝ մի շարք իրար հետ կապված ընտանիքներ վերահսկում են որոշակի աշխարհագրական տարածքներ, ինչպես նաև՝ տնտեսության ճյուղեր»:
Սակայն միայն երկրի առաջին ընտանիքը չէ, որ պատասխանատու է Ադրբեջանի միջազգային ռեբրենդինգի համար, գրում է լրատվամիջոցը: Բրիտանիան նույնպես իր էական դերն է խաղացել երկրի միջազգային հեղինակությունը բարձրացնելու գործում: Կայքը նշում է, որ Բաքվի խաղերի գլխավոր օպերացիոն տնօրեն Սիմոն Քլեգը, ով շնորհավորել էր Ադրբեջանին խաղերի առաջին օրը մարզական հաջողությունների համար, նաև Բրիտանիայի օլիմպիական ասոցիացիայի գործադիր խորհրդի անդամ է։ Կայքը հիշեցնում է նաև, որ երբ Ադրբեջանը հյուրընկալում էր «Եվրատեսիլ» երգի միջազգային մրցույթը, երկիրը լոնդոնյան 1000 տաքսի է գնել տրանսպորտային համակարգի ստանդարտները բարձրացնելու համար: Այս անգամ ևս 500 մեքենա է գնվել VIP հյուրերին տեղափոխելու համար: The London Taxi Company-ի գործադիր փոխնախագահը բարձր է գնահատել «առաջադեմ պետության» հետ շարունակական համագործակցությունը և շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Ալիևին գործարքում ունեցած դերի համար:
Կայքը նշում է, որ Խաղերի գործընկերների թվում են խոշոր միջազգային բրենդներ՝ BP-ն, Coca-Cola-ն, Unicef-ը:
Օլիմպիական խաղերի, և հետևաբար նաև Եվրոպական խաղերի նպատակը մարդկանց սպորտի միջոցով միավորելն է: Սա հաշվի առնելով՝ վարչակազմը, որն անընդհատ ապացուցում է, որ քաղաքացիական ազատությունների ավտորիտար ճնշող է, այն գործընկերը չէ, որի հետ պետք է հավասարվի Միջազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեն՝ դեռ չասած ակտիվ աջակցելու մասին, գրում է կայքը։
