Էնդրյու Շոֆերը պաշտոնապես ստանձնել է Մինսկի խմբի ԱՄՆ համանախագահի պաշտոնը

Ամերիկացի դիվանագետ Էնդրյու Շոֆերը պաշտոնապես ստանձնել է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ԱՄՆ համանախագահի պաշտոնը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին ասվում է ԱՄՆ պետդեպի խոսնակ Հեզեր Նոյերթի հայտարարության մեջ:
Հայտարարության մեջ նշվում է եվրոպական ու միջազգային կազմակերպություններում աշխատելու Շոֆերի մեծ փորձը: Նախքան ՄԽ համանախագահի պաշտոնում նշանակվելը նա զբաղեցրել է Վիեննայում միջազգային կազմակերպություններում Միացյալ Նահանգների առաքելությունների ժամանակավոր հավատարմատարի պաշտոնը:
2015 թվականի օգոստոսից մինչև 2017 թվականի հունվար նա եղել է առաքելության ղեկավարի տեղակալը: 2014 թվականի օգոստոսից մինչև 2015 թվականի օգոստոս նա Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալությունում աշխատել է որպես խորհրդական: 2011-2014 թվականներին Շաֆերը զբաղեցրել է Կիպրոսում ԱՄՆ փոխդեսպանի պաշտոնը: Աշխատել է նաև Քուվեյթում, Բահրեյնում և Ռուսաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանություններում:
Վաշինգտոնում նա աշխատել է պետդեպարտամենտի Իրաքի բաժնում, եղել է քաղաքական հարցերով պետքարտուղարի տեղակալի օգնականը:
«Միացյալ Նահանգները շարունակում է հավատարիմ մնալ Մինսկի խմբի գործընթացին՝ օգնելու կողմերին հասնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության տևական ու խաղաղ կարգավորման: Ինչպես նշվում էր հունիսի 19-ի և հուլիսի 6-ի հայտարարություններում՝ ԱՄՆ-ն աջակցում է խնդրի արդար կարգավորմանը, որը պետք է հիմնված լինի միջազգային օրենքի վրա, ինչը ներառում է Հելսինկյան եզրափակիչ ակտը՝ ուժի չկիրառման, տարածքային ամբողջականության և ինքնորոշման սկզբունքների մասին: Էնդրյու Շոֆերն ակնկալում է աջակցել կողմերին հասնելու այս նպատակին»,- ասվում է ԱՄՆ պետդեպի խոսնակի հայտարարության մեջ:
Նա հայտնել է նաև, որ Շոֆերի կողմից պաշտոնը ստանձնելու վերաբերյալ պաշտոնապես տեղեկացվել է Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի կառավարություններին:
