Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում հայտարարել է, որ Իրանը և Թուրքիան կարող են համատեղ ռազմական գործողություն սկսել Սիրիայում կռվող ահաբեկչական կառույցների դեմ։ Այս մասին նա հայտնել է Հորդանան այցից առաջ՝ օդանավակայանում տեղի ունեցած ասուլիսի ժամանակ, գրում է թուրքական «ՀաբերԹյուրք» կայքը:
Էրդողանը չի հայտնել գործողությունների մեկնարկի ժամկետը, ինչպես նաև չի նշել, թե որ ահաբեկչական կառույցները կհայտնվեն Իրանի ու Թուրքիայի թիրախում այս անգամ:
Թուրքիայի նախագահը նշել է, որ հարցի շուրջ բանակցությունները տարվել են Իրանի ԶՈւ-ի ԳՇ պետի՝ Անկարա այցի ընթացքում, հարցը գտնվում է քննարկման փուլում:
Ինչպես ավելի վաղ հայտնել էր tert.am-ը՝ թուրքական լրատվամիջոցներում հայտնվել էր տեղեկություն, որ Թուրքիան, Իրանը և Ռուսաստանը կարող են համատեղ ռազմական գործողություն սկսել Սիրիայի հյուսիսում: Նշվել էր, որ գործողության մեկնարկը կարող է տրվել սիրիական Իդլիբից, ընդ որում՝ պլանավորվում է, որ իրանական ու ռուսական ուժերն առաջ կշարժվեն Իդլիբի հարավից, իսկ թուրքական ԶՈւ-ն կգրոհի հյուսիսային կողմից:
