Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Լոռու մարզային քննչական վարչության պետ Թաթուլ Շուշանյանի կողմից ստեղծված քննչական խումբը՝ հատկապես կարևոր գործերով ավագ քննիչ Արարատ Ուլուխանյանի գլխավորությամբ և Ոստիկանության Լոռու մարզային վարչության օպերատիվ խումբը՝ վարչության պետ Արամ Ղազարյանի գլխավորությամբ պարզել են երեկ՝ օգոստոսի 19-ին, Լոռու մարզում տեղի ունեցած դաժան ու ողբերգական ավտովթարի հետևանքով վարորդների, մահացածների և վիրավորների ինքնությունը: Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, պարզվել է՝ Opel-ը վարել է Վանաձոր քաղաքի Տարոն 4ա թաղամասի բնակիչ, 35-ամյա Էդգար Վարդումյանը, իսկ Volkswagen Golf-ը վարել է Հագվի գյուղի բնակիչ, 30-ամյա Մհեր Վարոսյանը: Վթարի հետևանքով Opel-ի ուղևորներ, Վանաձոր քաղաքի Տարոն 4ա թաղամասի բնակիչներ, 58-ամյա Գագիկ Վարդումյանը, և 9-ամյա Սիրանուշ Վարդումյանը տեղում մահացել են: Opel-ի վարորդ Է. Վարդումյանը, նրա ուղևորներ, Վանաձոր քաղաքի Տարոն 4ա թաղամասի բնակիչներ, 30-ամյա Հերմինե Գասպարյանը, 3-ամյա Էրիկ Վարդումյանը մարմնական վնասվածքներով , որոնց մի մասը ծայրահեղ ծանր վիճակում՝ տեղափոխվել են Ալավերդու բժշկական կենտրոն, իսկ 54-ամյա Սիրանուշ Սիրադեղյանը՝ Ստեփանավանի բժշկական կենտրոն: Ֆոտոլրագրողը հայտնում է նաև, որ Volkswagen-ի վարորդ Մ. Վարոսյանը, նրա ուղևորներ, համագյուղացիներ, 23-ամյա Մարիամ Սանյանը և 3-ամյա Արարատ Վարոսյանը նույնպես տեղափոխվել են Ալավերդու բժշկական կենտրոն: Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ վարորդներից Է. Վարդումյանը աշխատում է Ոստիկանության Լոռու մարզային վարչության ուղեկցող դասակի 3-րդ ջոկում: Մահացած Ս. Վարդումյանը սովորում էր Վանաձորի թիվ 28 դպրոցի 3-րդ դասարանում: Ինչպես ավելի վաղ դեպքի վայրից հայտնել էր ֆոտոլրագրողը, գոստոսի 19-ին, խոշոր ու ողբերգական ավտովթար էր տեղի ունեցել Լոռու մարզում։ Ժամը 14։10-ի սահմաններում Ալավերդի-Ստեփանավան ավտոճանապարհին ճակատ-ճակատի բախվել էին Opel մակնիշի 35 GZ 597 համարանիշի և Volkswagen Golf մակնիշի 34 CR 138 համարանիշի ավտոմեքենաները։
