Հնդկաստանի Ասամ, Բիհար եւ Արեւմտյան Բենգալիա նահանգներում ջրհեղեղի հետեւանքով ավելի քան 360 մարդ է զոհվել:
NDTV-ն հայտնում է, որ ջրամբարները եւ գետերը այս տարածաշրջանում լցվել են մուսոնային անձրեւների հետեւանքով, որոնք չեն դադարել վերջին ամբողջ շաբաթվա ընթացքում:
Ամենաաղետալի վիճակում Բիհարն է, որտեղ աղտի հետեւանքով 153 մարդ է զոհվել: Բիհարում փրկարարական գործողություններին օգնելու համար ներգրավվել է արտակարգ իրավիճակների արձագանքման ազգային ուժերի 28 ստորաբաժանում, ինչպես նաեւ 1765 դաշտային խոհանոց, որոնք սպասարկում են մոտ 350 հազար մարդիկ:
Ըստ իրավիճակի բարդության՝ երկրորդը Ասամ նահանգն է, որտեղ զոհվել է 144 մարդ:
Արեւմտյան Բենգալիայում ջրհեղեղի հետեւանքով 52 մարդ է զոհվել: Աղետից տուժել է նաեւ Ուտար Փրադեշ նահանգի արեւելյան հատվածը, որտեղ 14 մարդ է զոհվել:
