ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ Զոի Լոֆգրենն օգոստոսի 18-ին Կոնգրես է ներկայացրել բանաձև՝ կոչ անելով Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփին ուղարկել բժշկական և հոգեբանական զննության՝ պարզելու համար՝ արդյոք նախագահին պաշտոնանկ անելու համար հիմքեր կան:

Ինչպես հայտնում է mercurynews.com, Սան Խոսե քաղաքը ներկայացնող դեմոկրատի կարծիքով՝ փոխնախագահ Մայք Փենսն ու Թրամփի վարչակազմի մյուս անդամները, հիմնվելով հոգեբանական զննության արդյունքների վրա, պետք է որոշեն աննախադեպ մի բան՝ բավարար հիմքեր ունենալու դեպքում նախագահին հեռացնել պաշտոնից:

«Նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը մտահոգությունների տեղիք տվող հայտարարություններ է անում ու նույնպիսի վարք ցուցաբերում՝ թույլ տալով կասկածել, որ նրա հոգեկան խանգարումը խոչընդոտում է նախագահի պարտականությունները կատարելուն»,-ասվում է կոնգրեսականի բանաձևում:

Փաստաթուղթը կոչ է անում կառավարությանն անհապաղ դիմել բժշկական և հոգեբանական ոլորտի մասնագետներին՝ նախագահին զննելու համար:

Լոֆգրենը ենթադրում է, որ 71-ամյա Թրամփի մոտ կարող է ախտորոշվել զարգացման վաղ շրջանում գտնվող տկարամտություն:

Կոնգրեսականը մանրամասնել է, որ Թրամփի հոգեկան առողջության վերաբերյալ անհանգստությունը սրվել է, երբ նախագահը հավուր պատշաճի չի դատապարտել օրեր առաջ Շառլոթսվիլում լիբերալ ակտիվիստի սպանած նեոնացիստներին՝ նշելով, որ «նրանց մեջ ևս լավ մարդիկ կան»:

Ամերիկացի քաղաքական գործիչների կարծիքով՝ Թրամփը սխալ է վարվել, երբ Շառլոթսվիլի անկարգությունների համար հավասարապես մեղադրել է և՛ լիբերալներին, և՛ սպիտակ ազգայնականներին:
