Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը մեկնաբանել է օգոստոսի 17-ին Բարսելոնայում տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչական ակտը և ասել, որ ահաբեկիչներին չի հաջողվի փոխել եվրոպացիների կենսակերպը: Այս մասին նա ասել է BR 24 հեռուստաալիքի եթերում:
«Մենք թույլ չենք տա այդ մարդասպաններին փոխել մեր կենսակերպը: Ահաբեկչությունը կարող է շատ տխուր պահեր բերել, սակայն չի կարող հաղթել մեզ», - ասել է նա:
«Հենց Բարսելոնան է խորհրդանշում ազատ աշխարհի կենսակերպը մարմնավորող շատ բաներ. գեղեցկություն, հանդուրժողականություն, սեր կյանքի հանդեպ, տարբեր երկրների և մշակույթների ներկայացուցիչների խաղաղ գոյակցություն: Այս մահաբեր հարձակումները ցույց են տալիս՝ որքան է իսլամական ահաբեկչությունն անմարդկային», - ընդգծել է կանցլերը:
Հիշեցնենք, որ օգոստոսի 17-ին Բարսելոնայի ամենահայտնի զբոսաշրջային վայրերից մեկում՝ Լաս Ռամբլաս փողոցում, ֆուրգոնը մխրճվել էր հետիոտների ամբոխի մեջ՝ խլելով 13 մարդու կյանք և վնասվածքներ հասցնելով 100-ից ավելի մարդու: Ահաբեկչության պահին հազարավոր մարդիկ զբոսնել են ծառաշատ մայթերով փողոցով, երբ վարձակալված ֆուրգոնը մխրճվել է ամբոխի մեջ: Խուճապահար զբոսաշրջիկները շտապել են պատսպարվել հուշանվերներ վաճառող մոտակա խանութներում, ռեստորաններում ու եկեղեցիներում, մյուսներն էլ չկողմնորոշվելով՝ պարզապես վազել են փողոցով:
Բարսելոնայի կենտրոնում ահաբեկչությունից հետո տեղի է ունեցել նաև երկրորդ ահաբեկչական հարձակումը 120 կիլոմետր հեռավորությամբ գտնվող Կամբրիլս քաղաքում: Մեքենան վրաերթի է ենթարկել մարդկանց, հաղորդվում է 1 զոհի մասին: Ոստիկանները սպանել են հինգ կասկածյալներին, որոնցից մի քանիսը կեղծ պայթուցիկ գոտիներ են կրել: Բացի այդ, նույն օրը՝ օգոստոսի 17-ին, կատալոնական Ալկանար քաղաքում պայթյուն է որոտացել, որի հետևանքով մեկ մարդ է զոհվել և առնվազն մեկ մարդ վիրավորվել: Ոստիկանությունը ենթադրում է, որ տարածքում պայթուցիկներ էին պատրաստվում:
Նշենք, որ Ֆրանսիան ուժեղացնում է հսկողությունը սահմանին՝ Բարսելոնայում տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչությունից հետո:
