 Վրաստանի իշխանությունները աբխազների եւ օսերի հետ երկխոսությունը պետք է ժամանակին սկսեին, որպեսզի խուսափեին ՌԴ-ի կազմի մեջ այդ տարածաշրջանների մտնելու շուրջ հանրաքվեի անցկացման հարցից: Այդ մասին, Թբիլիսիում կայացած բրիֆինգի ժամանակ հայտարարել է Վրաստանի խորհրդարÕ �նի նախկին խոսնակ, «Ժողովրդավարական շարժման» առաջնորդ Նինո Բուրջանաձեն:

Մեկնաբանելով Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության կազմի մեջ մտնելու շուրջ Հարավային Օսիայում հանրաքվեի անցկացման նախաձեռնությունը՝ Բուրջանաձեն ասել է, որ, եթե Վրաստանի կառավարությունը ժամանակին ուղղակի երկխոսություն սկսեր աբխազների եւ օսերի հետ, այսօր իրականությունն այլ կլիներ եւ այդօրինակ հայտարարություններ չէին արվի:

«Իշխանությունների եւս մեկ ու մեծ սխալն այն է, որ նրանք վերստին նայում են դեպի Արեւմուտք: Մեր իշխանությունների հայտարարություններն անօգնական էին, եւ դրանք բոլորն ուղղված էին այն բանին, թե մենք կիրազեկենք մեր արեւմտյան գործընկերներին: Եվ ի՞նչ: Ի՞նչ ենք մենք անում, բացի Արեւմուտք նայելուց: Այսօր Արեւմուտքն Աբխազիայի եւ Հարավային Օսիայի խնդիրներով զբաղվելու ժամանակ չունի: Մենք պետք է հասկանանք, որ մեր փոխարեն ոչ ոք ոչինչ չի անի»,- նշել է Բուրջանաձեն:

Հարավային Օսիայի ղեկավար Լեոնիդ Թիբիլովի մամուլի ծառայությունը հաղորդել է, որ նա պատրաստվում է հանրաքվե նախաձեռնել Ռուսաստանի կազմի մեջ տարածաշրջանի մտնելու հարցի շուրջ: Թիբիլովը Ցխինվալում ՌԴ նախագահի օգնական Վլադիսլավ Սուրկովի հետ կայացած հանդիպմանը նշել է, որ Ռուսաստանի հետ վերամիավորվելն օս ժողովրդի դարավոր երազանքն է, հաղորդել Է Sputnik-ը:
