Եվրախորհրդարանի նախագահ Անտոնիո Տայանին հայտարարել է, որ թեև Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի վարած քաղաքականությունն իրենց համար անընդունելի է, այնուամենայնիվ, Եվրամիությունը ստիպված է համագործակցել Էրդողանի հետ: Այս մասին գրում է gazeteduvar.com.tr կայքը:
Պատասխանելով իտալական Radio Radicale ռադիոկայանի լրագրողի հարցին, թե արդյոք Եվրոպայի համար ամոթալի չէ համագործակցել այնպիսի երկրի հետ, որը չի հարգում մարդու իրավունքներն ու արհամարհում է Եվրամիության հիմնարար սկզբունքները, Տայանին պատասխանել է, որ Եվրոպայի տարածքում ահաբեկչության, գործազրկության ու մի շարք այլ վտանգների պատճառով իրենք ստիպված են համագործակցել այնպիսի երկրների հետ, ինչպիսին են Թուրքիան և Լիբիան:
«Հիշենք «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման դեմ պայքարի մասին: Թուրքիան մեր ժողովրդավարական չափանիշներին չի համապատասխանում, ես դա ավելի վաղ էլ եմ ասել», - շեշտել է Տայանին:
Հիշեցնենք, որ ապրիլի 25-ին ԵԽԽՎ-ն հավանության է արժանացել Թուրքիայում ժողովրդավարական կառույցների գործունեության մոնիթորինգի վերաբերյալ օրինագիծը: Օրինագծի հիմքում ընկած է Թուրքիայում վերջին շրջանում մարդու իրավունքների, մամուլի ազատության, օրենքի գերակայության ոլորտում գրանցված լուրջ հետընթացի մասին վկայող զեկույցը։
