Թբիլիսիի կենդանաբանական այգուց փախած բոլոր կենդանիներին բռնել են, քաղաքաում այլեւս գազաններ չկան: Այս մասին հայտարարել է Վրաստանի վարչապետ Իրակլի Գարիբաշվիլին: «Կենդանաբանական այգու տրամադրած տեղեկատվության համաձայն, այս պահի դրությամբ այգու սահմաններից դուրս ոչ մի գազան չկա»,-ասել է վարչապետը:

Նա նաեւ հանձնարարել է աշխատանքային խումբ ստեղծել՝ ջրհեղեղի պատճառները պարզելու համար, հաղորդում է Վրաստանի կառավարության մամուլի ծառայությունը: Աղետի հետեւանքների վերացման հարցերով արտակարգ շտաբի նիստի ժամանակ Գարիբաշվիլին նշել է, որ հնարավոր է տեղի ունեցածը հետաքննելու աշխատանքներին միանա դատախազությունը: «Ով էլ դա լինի, պետք է պատասխանատվություն կրի: Մենք չենք մտածում միայն այս կամ այն անձի պատասխանատվության մասին: Անհրաժեշտ է պարզել իրական պատճառները, որպեսզի ապագայում խուսափենք նման դեպքերից: Չկրկնվելու երաշխիքներ գոյություն չունեն, բայց մենք պարտավոր ենք ուսումնասիրել եւ համապատասխան ստուգումներ իրականացնել»,-ասել է վարչապետը:

Հիշեցնենք, որ հունիսի 14-ի գիշերը Թբիլիսիիում Վերե գետը դուրս է եկել ափերից եւ կործանարար ջրհեղեղ է եղել: Վերջին տվյալներով զոհվել է 15 մարդ:

Ամենից շատ տուժել է քաղաքի կենտրոնը եւ այնտեղ գտնվող կենդանաբանական այգին: Հարյուրավոր գազաններ սատկել են, տասնյակ կենդանիներ փախել են, այդ թվում այնպիսի վտանգավոր գազաններ, ինչպիսիք են արջերը, վագրերը եւ առյուծը: Նրանց մի մասին ավելի ուշ վնասազերծել են:
