Արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարար Շավարշ Քոչարյանը կառավարության այսօրվա նիստից հետո լրագրողների հարցին ի պատասխան անդրադարձավ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարների՝ առաջիկայում կայանալիք հանդիպման օրակարգին:
«Այսօր մեկ առանջնային խնդիր ունեն համանախագահները, դա այն է, որպեսզի կանխեն հնարավոր ռազմական գործողությունները և հասնեն նրան, որ լարվածությունը նվազի: Սա է համար մեկ խնդիրը», ասաց նա:
Հարցին, թե ինչի՞ շուրջ են բանակցում, եթե Ադրբեջանը չի համաձայնում մեղմացնել լարվածությունը, փոխարտգործնախարարը պատասխանեց, որ այնուամենայնիվ միջնորդներն այդ հարցում շատ հետևողական են, թե իրենց հայտարարություններով, թե քայլերով:
«Եվ այսօր իրենց երկու առաքելությունից, որն իրենք ունեն՝ մեկը, նպաստել, որ կողմերը գան ինչ-որ համաձայնության, երկրորդ, թույլ չտալ, որ վերսկսվեն ռազմական գործողությունները, նրանք կենտրոնացած են երկրորդի վրա՝ շատ լավ հասկանալով, որ առաջընթացի մասին խոսելն անհնար է, իսկ պատճառն Ադրբեջանն է իր քաղաքականությամբ»:
Քոչարյանն ասաց, որ մենք պետք է միշտ ելնենք նրանից, որ Ադրբեջանի քաղաքականությունը եղել ու մնում է ուժային: Այդ երկիրը դրանով փորձում է ինչ-որ առումով շանտաժի ենթարկել միջնորդներին, բայց գնալով համոզվում է, որ դա չի հաջողվում:
«Հիմա հարաբերական անդորր է, բայց այդ հարաբերական անդորրը չի նշանակում, թե մենք պետք է, այսպես ասած, մեր աչալրջությունը կորցնենք»,- նշեց նա:
Անդրադառնալով Իրանի նախագահի հայտարարությանը, թե ԼՂ հիմնախնդիրը քաղաքական ճանապարհով պետք է հարցը լուծել, ուժային լուծումը պետք է բացառել՝ Շավարշ Քոչարյանն ասաց, որ առանց այն էլ ակնհայտ է, որ մեր երկու բարեկամ ու հարևան պետությունները՝ Իրանն ու Վրաստանը շահագրգիռ չեն, որպեսզի տարածաշրջանում լինի ապակայունացում:
«Դրանում մենք բազմիցս համոզվել ենք և գործով, և խոսքով: Այդ հայտարարությունն իրենց դիրքորոշումն է, Ադրբեջանը դա կարող է ընկալել որպես մեսիջ, մենք կարող ենք ընկալել որպես հաստատում այն մոտեցման, որը գիտեինք», հավելեց նա:
