«Առավոտ»-ը զրուցել է Կովկասի ռազմավարական հետազոտությունների ինստիտուտի քաղաքական վերլուծաբան Գելա Վասաձեի հետ:
«...Բայց երբ Մոսկվան սկսեց խառնվել ընտրական գործընթացներին, հատկապես ԱՄՆ-ում կայացած ընտրություններին, հասկանալի դարձավ՝ անդառնալիության կետն անցել են: Նույնիսկ Սիրիայում ներկայությունը եւ «միջազգային ահաբեկչության դեմ համատեղ պայքարի» երդումը ՝ չշտկեց իրավիճակը, իսկ Թրամփի այդքան սպասված գալն իշխանության էլ ավելի խորացրեց այն: Արդյունքում մենք ստացանք սառը պատերազմին մոտ իրադրություն:
Իսկ սառը պատերազմն իր օրենքներն ունի, մասնավորաբար, սեփական հետաքրքրությունների ապահովումը տարածաշրջանում: Հենց այս համատեքստում պետք է դիտարկել այս զորավարժությունները:
Ինչ վերաբերում է այս իրավիճակում Հայաստանի մասնակցությանը ՆԱՏՕ-ի զորավարժություններին, ես չգիտեմ՝ ՀՀ իշխանություններն ի՞նչ բացատրություններ են տալու այս ամենի վերաբերյալ իրենց ռուսաստանցի գործընկերներին: Բայց ինչպիսին էլ որ լինի այդ բացատրությունը, հասկանալի է, որ դա ձեւական բնույթ է կրելու:
Հասկանալի է, որ այսօր Երեւանում գիտակցում են՝ մեկ կողովում չափից ավելի շատ ձու է դրված, ամեն ինչ նորմալ կլիներ, եթե այդ կողովն օրըստօրե ավելի ու ավելի անապահով չդառնար: Կարծում եմ՝ հայկական իշխանությունների գործողությունների տրամաբանությունը, հաշվի առնելով ներկայիս իրադրությունը, միանգամայն հասկանալի է: Այլ հարց է՝ կբավականացնի՞ քաղաքական կամքը, եւ ի՞նչ իրադրության ի վերջո կհանգեն»:
