Թուրքիայում հայերը սկսել են ավելի շատ խոսել իրենց ինքնության մասին: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսում նշեց «Արևմտահայոց ազգային համագումար» կազմակերպության անդամ, «Վերադարձ» հիմնադրամի նախագահ Արագած Ախոյանը, ով նոր է վերադարձել Արևմտյան Հայաստանից: Նա եղել է մի շարք քաղաքներում, հանդիպել տեղի հայերի հետ:

«Իհարկե, շատերը հայերեն չեն խոսում, շատ քիչ բառեր գիտեն, սակայն ոգևորում է այն փաստը, որ մարդիկ խոսում են իրենց հայ լինելու մասին, բարձրաձայնում են իրենց ինքնության հարցը»,-ասաց Արագած Ախոյանը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ տարիներ շարունակ ականատես ենք եղել, թե ինչպես են թուրքական իշխանությունները հետևողականորեն ամեն ինչ արել հայերին կրոնափոխ անելու, լեզուն, մշակույթը վերացնելու համար, սակայն այսօր ինքնության հարցը գլուխ է բարձրացնում:

«Կան քաղաքներ, որտեղ հայերը բավական կազմակերպված են, մեր այցելություններից նաև իրենք են ոգևորվում, լսում են հայկական խոսք, կապ են հաստատում Հայաստանից գնացած հայերի հետ: Շարժում կա սկսված, իհարկե, վտանգավոր է, բայց մարդիկ պատրաստ են: Մի բան, որը մի քանի տարի առաջ հնարավոր չէր»,-ասաց Արագած Ախոյանը:

Նա նկատեց, որ կան քաղաքներ, որտեղ հայերը կազմակերպված գործում են: Որպես օրինակ ներկայացրեց Խարբերդի դեպքը, տեղի բողոքական եկեղեցու տարածքում իշխանությունները փորձում էին ավտոկայանատեղի կառուցել: Տեղի հայերի դիմադրության արդյունքում գործընթացը կասեցվել է:

Արագած Ախոյանն իր այցելության ընթացքում մի խնդրի է ականատես եղել Մուշում, երբ այցելել են Գոմս: Տեղի համայնքը դատական գործընթաց է սկսել Մուշի գերեզմանատան համար: Այն 8000 քառակուսի մետր տարածքի վրա է, որտեղ նաեւ Գեւորգ Չավուշի գերեզմանն է: Գերեզմանատունը հիմա փակ է:

«Խնդիրն այն չէ, որ դա չեն ուզում հայերին տալ, այլ մեխանիզմ չկա: Եվ մինչ հարցը չի կարգավորվում, տեղի հայերը խնդրի առաջ են կանգնում: Երբ քրիստոնյան մահանում է, նրա աճյունը չեն կարողանում հուղարկավորել, այդ գերեզմանատունը փակ է, իսլամական գերեզմանատանն էլ չի թույլատրվում: Հիմա դա արվում է գաղտագողի, մոլլաներին խնդրելով: Տեղի հայերը նաեւ արդեն այդ հարցերն են բարձրացնում»,-ասաց Արագած Ախոյանը:
