Լինն ամուսինների տանը 13 տարի շարունակ տարօրինակ ձայներ են լսվել, որոնք զարմացրել ու վախեցրել են նրանց հյուրերին: Պատի միջից եկող ձայները ամեն օր հնչել են նույն ժամին . առավոտյան 7-ն անց 50-ին:
Ի վերջո, ամուսինները որոշել են բացահայտել այս գաղտնիքը և իրենց օգնելու համար վարպետ են հրավիրել տուն: Լրագրողները, որոնք նույնպես եկել են, որպեսզի հետո բոլորին պատմեն այս առեղծվածի մասին, վերջում այնպիսի անակնկալի են եկել, որ չեն իմացել՝ ինչպես արձագանքել:
Պարզվել է, որ պատի մեջ 13 տարի շարունակ զարթուցիչ է եղել, որը ամեն օր 7-ն անց 50-ին հիշեցրել է իր մասին: Տարօրինակն այն է, որ էլեկտրոնային զարթուցիչի մարտկոցները, որոնք մի քանի ամսից ավելի չեն աշխատում, դիմացել են 13 տարի:

Երբ վարպետն այն հանել է «թաքստոցից», կատակասեր Լինն ամուսինները որոշել են «հավատարիմ» զարթուցիչը կրկին իր տեղը դնել: Նրանք պարզապես փոխել են դրա մարտկոցները:
