Շամիրամ գյուղում տեղի ունեցած սպանությունները պատիվ չեն բերում եզդի ժողովրդին, ինչպես նաեւ խարխլում են հանրապետության անդորրը: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք հայտնեց ԱԺ պատգամավոր Ռուստամ Մախմուդյանը: «Ինձ համար անընդունելի է, երբ մենք «ցեղասպանութուն» եզրույթն օգտագործում ենք պատեհ կամ անպատեհ առիթով, խոսքս մամուլում տեղ գտած արտահայտությունների մասին է: Ցավ է, իհարկե, կան զոհեր, սակայն սա իրականում ոճիր էր: Ցավալի է, որ մարդկային կորուստներ կան, եւ առիթից օգտվելով իմ խորին ցավակցությունն եմ հայտնում զոհվածների ընտանիքի անդամներին: Սա շատ զարհուրելի պատմություն է»,- ասաց պատգամավորը՝ հավելելով, որ կատարվում են հսկայածավալ օպերատիվ, քննչական գործողություններ, եւ նախաքննության ավարտից հետո դատարանը կտա իր գնահատականը:

Ավելի վաղ, ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի հատկապես կարևոր գործերով քննության գլխավոր վարչությունում հարուցվել էր քրեական գործ՝ Արագածոտնի մարզի Շամիրամ գյուղում օգոստոսի 1-ին տեղի ունեցած շատերի կյանքի համար վտանգավոր եղանակով երկու և ավելի անձանց սպանության դեպքի առթիվ:

Նախնական տվյալներով՝ Թելման Քալաշյանը՝ անձնական անբարյացակամ հարաբերություններից դրդված,  մուտք էր գործել շինություն, կրակոցներ արձակել այնտեղ գտնվող մարդկանց ուղղությամբ և դիմել փախուստի: Կրակոցների հետևանքով ստացած հրազենային վնասվածքներից  3 անձ մահացել էին տեղում, 1-ը` բժշկական կենտրոնում, 6 անձ՝ տարբեր մարմնական վնասվածքներով, տեղափոխվել բժշկական հաստատություններ: 50-ամյա  Թելման

Քալաշյանը ներգրավվել է որպես մեղադրյալ:  Նրան մեղադրանք է առաջադրվել ՀՀ Քրեական օրենսգրքի 104 հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի 1-6 կետերով, 235 հոդվածի 1-ին մասով, 34-104 հոդվածի 1-ին մասով:
