Իրանի ղեկավար եւ հոգեւոր առաջնորդ այաթոլլա Ալի Խամենեին Հասան Ռոուհանիին հաստատել Է Իսլամական Հանրապետության նախագահի պաշտոնում: Հանդիսավոր արարողությունը տեղի Է ունեցել օգոստոսի 3-ին Թեհրանի իմամ Խոմեյնիի մզկիթում, ինչի մասին հայտնել Է Press TV հեռուստաալիքը:
Արարողությանը ներկա են եղել իշխանության բարձրագույն մարմինների ներկայացուցիչները, Մեջլիսի (խորհրդարանի) պատգամավորներ, Իրանի Դիտորդական եւ Համաձայնեցման խորհուրդների անդամները, բարձրագույն զինվորական հրամանատարության ներկայացուցիչները, ինչպես նաեւ օտարերկրյա դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունների ղեկավարները: Հանրապետության Սահմանադրության համաձայն՝ այդ պահից սկսվում Է Ռոուհանիի չորսամյա նախագահական ժամկետի հաշվարկը: Օգոստոսի 5-ին ընտրյալ նախագահը երդում կտա Մեջլիսի շենքում: Սպասվում Է, որ հանդիսություններին կմասնակցեն 100-ից ավելի օտարերկրյա պատվիրակություններ, ինչը ռեկորդային թիվ Է Իրանում նման միջոցմառման համար:
68-ամյա Ռոուհանին երկրորդ ժամկետով վերընտվել Է մայիսի 19-ին կայացած նախագահական ընտրությունների արդյունքներով: Նրա թեկնածության օգտին իրենց ձայները տվել են 23,5 մլն իրանցիներ՝ ընտրողների 57 տոկոսը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
