«Առավոտ»-ն իր խմբագրականում գրում է.
«Ինձ միշտ զարմացրել է, թե ինչպես են մարդիկ որևէ հարցի շուրջ իրենց կարծիքը հայտնում՝ համարելով դա վերջնական և անբեկանելի ճշմարտություն, և խիստ զայրանում են, որ ուրիշները թեթևակի կասկած են հայտնում այդ տեսակետի «վերջնական» լինելու հարցում:
Սովորաբար մարդիկ «ամեն ինչ գիտեն» ներքին կյանքի ներկա և անցյալ անցքերի մասին, ով ում է սիրել, ատել կամ սպանել, ով որքան միլիոն կամ միլիարդ դոլար ունի, ում ականջներն են ինչի տակ թաքնված և այլն: Վերջերս, օրինակ, մեկը գրել է, որ նա գիտի (ուշադրություն դարձրեք՝ գիտի), որ 1994 թվականին այսինչը սպանել է այնինչին: Բայց նա ոչ միայն գիտի, այլև ինձ զգուշացնում է, որ եթե ես կասկած հայտնեմ իր այդ «գիտելիքի» վերաբերյալ կամ պարզապես հարցնեմ՝ իսկ որտեղի՞ց նրան այդ «գիտելիքը», ապա նա կհասկանա, որ ես օբյեկտիվ լրագրող չեմ: Կամ վերջերս ինձ համոզում էին, որ Տարոն Մարգարյանի կարողությունը կազմում է 9 միլիարդ դոլար: Այստեղ էլ ես որոշակի կասկածներ ունեմ՝ այդ դեպքում նա «Ֆորբսի» ցուցակում պետք է տեղ զբաղեցներ Ռոման Աբրամովիչի կողքին և 30 կետով առաջ լիներ Սամվել Կարապետյանից: Չնայած այս պարագայում ոչինչ չեմ կարող վստահաբար պնդել, ուրիշի գրպանում փող հաշվելու հարցում ես ամենևին էլ արհեստավարժ չեմ:
Բայց այս հարցերում մարդկանց անսասան համոզմունքները ոչինչ են այն «գիտելիքների» հետ համեմատած, որը կապված է «ազգային» խնդիրների հետ: Եթե դու կասկածում ես, որ Երևանի քաղաքապետն ունի 9 միլիարդ դոլար, ապա դու ընդամենը «ռեժիմի սպասարկու» ես: Բայց եթե դու վստահ չես, որ այսօր (շեշտեմ` այսօր) հայ ժողովրդին միավորող ազգային գաղափարախոսությունը Մասիս սարը կարոտելը չէ, ապա մեղադրանքներն ավելի ծանր են՝ դու ազգի դավաճան ես, ջհուդ ես և մասոն: Ի տարբերություն «անբեկանելի ճշմարտությունների» կրողների՝ ես չեմ կարող պնդել, որ ինձ հետ անհամաձայնություն հայտնողները 100 տոկոսով սխալ են: Պարզապես ես հարցեր եմ տալիս, այսպես ասած՝ «բարձրաձայն մտածում եմ», և փորձում եմ դրդել, որ ուրիշներն էլ մտածեն: Ի դեպ, այդ «մարտավարությունն» ունեմ ինչպես այս, այնպես էլ մնացած հարցերում»:
