Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը կառավարության առաջնահերթություններից մեկն է. ՀՀ վարչապետ

 Վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանի գլխավորությամբ կառավարությունում տեղի է ունեցել Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության 2017-2019 թվականների գործողությունների ծրագրի համակարգող խորհրդի առաջին նիստը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կառավարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, վարչապետը նշել է, որ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը հանդիսանում է կառավարության գործունեության հիմնական ուղղություններից և առաջնահերթություններից մեկը: «Դա բնական է, քանի որ մեր երկրի Սահմանադրությամբ՝ մարդու իրավունքների հարգումն ու պաշտպանությունը պետական իշխանության առանցքային պարտականություններից է»,- նշել է Կարեն Կարապետյանը: 

Վարչապետի խոսքով, հանրապետական գործադիր մարմինների գործողությունները մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ոլորտում առավել համակարգված և արդյունավետ դարձնելու նպատակով՝ կառավարության կողմից 2017 թվականի մայիսի 4-ին հաստատվել է Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ազգային ռազմավարությունից բխող 2017-2019թթ. գործողությունների ծրագիրը, որում սահմանված են 96 գործողություն և յուրաքանչյուր գործողության իրականացման հստակ ժամանակացույցը, չափանիշները, ակնկալվող արդյունքը և պատասխանատու մարմինները: Բացի դրանից, ծրագրի մշտադիտարկման և համակարգման նպատակով ստեղծվել է համակարգող խորհուրդ, որը բաղկացած է կառավարության տարբեր օղակների և պետական մարմինների ներկայացուցիչներից: 

«Համակարգող խորհուրդն ամեն եռամսյակ կկազմակերպի քննարկումներ, որոնց ընթացքում կներկայացվեն գերատեսչությունների կողմից կատարված աշխատանքները: Կարևոր եմ համարում նաև քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների մասնակցությամբ համակարգող խորհրդի կողմից կիսամյակային կտրվածքով հանրային քննարկումների կազմակերպումը: Այդպիսի քննակումները կարող են արդյունավետ հարթակ հանդիսանալ շահագրգիռ հասարակական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչների կողմից ծրագրի ընթացքի վերաբերյալ իրենց դիտողությունները և առաջարկությունները ներկայացնելու համար»,- ասել է վարչապետը՝ ավելացնելով, որ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությանն ուղղված այս ծրագրի սահմանված ժամկետներում իրագործումը գտնվելու է ՀՀ կառավարության և իր ուշադրության կենտրոնում: 
Նիստի ընթացքում քննարկվել են մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ոլորտում նախարարությունների, կառավարությանն առընթեր մարմինների և Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գրասենյակի կողմից 2017 թ. առաջին կիսամյակի ընթացքում կատարված աշխատանքները և հետագա քայլերը:
