Ֆիլիպինների հյուսիսում մոլեգնող Koppu թայֆունի զոհերի թիվը հասել Է 22-ի, տեղեկացնում Է «Ֆրանսպրես» գործակալությունը: Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել Էր 16 զոհվածների մասին: Մարդիկ զոհվել են թայֆունի առաջացրած հեղեղումների ու սողանքների հետեւանքով:
Ինչպես նշում Է գործակալությունը, վկայակոչելով քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության տեղական բաժանմունքի հաշվետվությունը, երկրի գյուղատնտեսական շրջանների 200-ից ավելի գյուղեր ջրասույզ են եղել հոկտեմբերի 20-ին: Որոշ տարածքներ հայտնվել են մեկ մետր խորությամբ ջրի տակ:
Տարերային աղետների հետեւանքների վերացման կառավարական գործակալությունը հայտարարել Է, որ Լուսոն կղզում թայֆունից տուժել Է գրեթե 300 հազար մարդ:
Ավելի վաղ Ֆիլիպինների Ավրորա եւ Իզաբելա նահանգների իշխանությունները բնակչության տարհանում են կազմակերպել մոտեցող թայֆունի պատճառով: Երկրում փոթորկի նախազգուշացման ամենաբարձր՝ «կարմիր» մակարդակ Է հայտարարված:
Ամեն տարի անձրեւների տարեշրջանում՝ հունիսից մինչեւ դեկտեմբեր ընկած ժամանակահատվածում, Ֆիլիպիններում մոլեգնում են շուրջ քսան փոթորիկ ու թայֆուն, սակայն երկրի պատմության մեջ ամենաաղետաբերն Է դարձել 2013 թվականի վերջին նրա կենտրոնական մասը պատուհասած «Յոլանդա» գերթայֆունը: Տարերքի հետեւանքով զոհված կամ անհետ կորած ֆիլիպինցիները թիվը գերազանցել Էր 8 հազարը, գերթայֆունն ամբողջովին ոչնչացրել կամ վնասել Էր 1,1 մլն տուն՝ օթեւանից զրկելով 4 միլիոն մարդու, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
