ՀՀ ոստիկանությունը բացահայտել է Սևանա լճի լողափերից մեկում ծագած վիճաբանության հետևանքով սպանության մանրամասները: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ոստիկանության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի եւ լրատվության վարչությունից, ոստիկանության քրեական հետախուզության գլխավոր, Գեղարքունիքի մարզային վարչությունների և Սևանի բաժնի ծառայողների օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների շնորհիվ պարզվել է, որ հուլիսի 30-ին, ժամը 18.50-ի սահմաններում Սեւանա լճի լողափում ծեծկռտուք է տեղի ունեցել Աշոտ Հովհաննիսյանի, նրա երկու որդիների և 1989 թ. ծնված Դավիթ Առաքելյանի ու նրա ընկերների միջև, ինչից հետո Աշոտ Հովհաննիսյանը մահացած տեղափոխվել է հիվանդանոց:
Աշոտ Հովհաննիսյանի որդին՝ 1981 թ. ծնված Էդգար Հ.-ն, հետապնդել և ժամը 19.05-ի սահմաններում Երևան-Սևան-Իջևան ճանապարհի 62-րդ կմ-ում գտնվող ճանապարհի բանուկ մասում Դավիթ Առաքելյանին իջեցրել է «Մերսեդես» ավտոմեքենայից ու որսորդական հրացանով կրակել նրա վրա: Վերջինս գլխի շրջանում ստացել է մահացու հրազենային վիրավորում:
Էդգար Հ.-ն ժամը 20.05-ին մեղայականով ներկայացել է Սևանի բաժին և ներկայացրել իր անվամբ հաշվառված որսորդական հրացանը: Նշանակվել են համալիր փորձաքննություններ: Էդգար Հ.-ն ձերբակալված է:Կատարվում է նախաքննություն:

Սևանա լճի լողափերից մեկում ծագած ծեծկռտուքի վերաբերյալ ահազանգը ոստիկանության Երևան քաղաքի վարչության օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոնում ստացվեց հուլիսի 30-ին, ժամը 19-ի սահմաններում: Տասնհինգ րոպե անց «Սևան» բժշկական կենտրոնից հաղորդում ստացվեց, որ իրենց մոտ է տեղափոխվել 1957 թ. ծնված Աշոտ Հովհաննիսյանի դիակը:
