Չինաստանը ոչ մ կերպ չի համակերպվի ԿԺԴՀ-ի նկատմամբ ճապոնական կողմի սխալ քաղաքականության հետ։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Չինաստանի ԱԳՆ-ի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Լու Քանը՝ մեկնաբանելով Փհենյանի դեմ պատժամիջոցներ սահմանելու Տոկիոյի որոշումը։ «Սինհուա»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ պատժամիջոցների ներքո են հայտնվել նաեւ երկու չինական ընկերություններ։
Չինաստանը պնդում է Կորեական թերակղզու ապամիջուկայնացմանը եւ միշտ համակողմանիորեն ու ամբողջությամբ կատարում է ԿԺԴՀ-ի կատմամբ ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի բանաձեւերը։ Սակայն Չինաստանը չի ընդունի միակողմանի պատժամիջոցները՝ ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ-ի շրջանակից դուրս։ Լու Քանը նշել է, որ ՉԺՀ-ն հատկապես դեմ է չինական ընկերությունների եւ առանձին անձանց նկատմամբ սահմանափակումներին։
Հետեւելով մյուսների օրինակին՝ Ճապոնիան կվնասի իրեն եւ ուրիշներին։ «Դա նույն բանն է, ինչ քարը վերցնել ու հարվածել քո իսկ ոտքին»,-ասել է Չինաստանի ԱԳՆ ներկայացուցիչը։
«Մենք ամենայն լրջությամբ նախազգուշացնում ենք, որ Չինաստանը ոչ մի դեպքում չի համակերպվի ճապոնական կողմի սխալ գործողությունների հետ՝ Ճապոնիայից պահանջելով անհապաղ չեղարկել որոշումը։ Եթե Ճապոնիան կամայականորեն գործի, ապա երկկողմանի հարաբերություներում եւ Կորեական թերակղզու հարցում համագործակցության ընթացքում լուրջ քաղաքական պատնեշներ կստեղծի։ Ճապոնիան պետք է կրի հետեւանքների պատասխանատվությունը»։
