ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քատուղար Անտոնիու Գուտերիշը Քատարին, Սաուդյան Արաբիային, Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրություններին (ԱՄԷ), Բահրեյնին եւ Եգիպտոսին նշել Է բանակցություններ սկսելու անհրաժետությունը եւ գտնելու Պարսից ծոցում դիվանագիտական ճգնաժամից դուրս գալու փոխադարձ ընդունելի ուղիներ:

Այս մասին լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցչի տեղակալ Ֆարխան Խաքը՝ մեկնաբանելով Քատարի Էմիր շեյխ Թամիմ բեն Համադ Ալ Թանիի՝ երկխոսություն սկսելու առաջարկությունը: Նրա խոսքով՝ միջազգային հանրակցության վարչական ղեկավարը բարձր Է գնահատում Քուվեյթի միջնորդական ջանքերը տարածաշրջանային ճգնաժամի կարգավորման գործում եւ հույս ունի, որ դրանք կշարունակվեն՝ նկատի առնելով կողմերից ստացված «դրական ազդանշանները»:

Հունիսի 5-ին Սաուդյան Արաբիան, ԱՄԷ-ն, Բահրեյնը եւ Եգիպտոսը հայտարարել են Քատարի հետ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների խզման մասին՝ նրան մեղադրելով ահաբեկչության աջակցության եւ իրենց ներքին գործերին միջամտության մեջ, դրան հետեւել են տնտեսական պատժամիջոցները եւ տրանսպորտային շրջափակումը:

Դոհայում ափսոսանք են հայտնել եւ օտարերկրացի գործընկերների որոշումները համարել անհիմն: Ավելի ուշ «քառյակն» առաջադրել Է 13 պահանջներ, որոնք Քատարում համարել են անիրագործելի եւ կոչ են արել վերանայելու դրանք: Մեկ ամիս անց Կահիրեում կայացած հանդիպմանը արաբական երկրների արտգործնախարարությունների ղեկավարները նշել են վեց սկզբունքներ, որոնց Էմիրությունը պետք Է հետեւի ճգնաժամի կարգավորման համար, հիմնական պահանջն Է ահաբեկչության աջակցության, այդ թվում ֆինանսական աջակցության դադարեցումը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
