1. Չի կարելի ոչ մեկին ստիպել քեզ սիրել

Այն ամենն, ինչ կարող ես անել՝ այնպիսին լինելն է, ում հնարավոր է սիրել: Մնացյալը կախված է այլ մարդուց: Որքան էլ սաստիկ ջանաս մարդուն սիրել եւ հոգ տանել, դա նրա մեջ նույնպիսի փոխադարձ զգացումներ չի առաջացնի: Սակայն սա աշխարհի վերջը չէ:

Եթե ես այս մասին ավելի վաղ իմանայի, ապա ինձ չէի զոհաբերի հանուն տղամարդկանց, որոնք չէին պատրաստվում փոխադարձությամբ պատասխանել: Երբ որեւէ մեկն ինձ չէր սիրում, ես պատճառն ինձ էի վերագրում: Մտածում էի, թե իմ մեջ ինչ-որ բան այնպես չէ:

Բայց բանն այն է, որ մենք կարող ենք միայն մեր լավագույն տարբերակը լինել, որպեսզի ուրիշներին մեզ սիրելու առավելագույն պատճառներ տանք: Իսկ այլապես մենք ոչ մի ձեւով չենք կարող նրանց ստիպել մեր նկատմամբ ինչ-որ բան զգալ:

«Մի՛ եղիր այնպիսի կին, ում տղամարդ է հարկավոր: Եղիր կին, որը տղամարդուն է հարկավոր»: Նույնը վերաբերում է նաեւ մեզ. մենք որեւէ մեկին չպետք է սիրենք սոսկ այն պատճառով, որ նա մեզ սիրում է: Սա մեր ընտրությունն է եւ միայն մեր:

2. Յուրաքանչյուր մարդ յուրովի է սիրում, այն սերն է տալիս, որը կարողանում է, այլ ոչ այն, որն ակնկալում ենք

Յուրաքանչյուրն իր զգացմունքները յուրովի է արտահայտում: Չի կարելի ասել, թե ինչպես է պետք ձեզ սիրել: Սերը մարդու հոգու արտացոլումն է: Սովորեք նրա սերն ընդունել այնպես, ինչպիսին է: Գնահատեք դա եւ երախտապարտ եղեք:

3. Անվերապահ սեր պետք է լինի ոչ միայն այլոց, նաեւ քո հանդեպ

Մենք կարողանում ենք սիրել որոշակի պայմաններում, մենք կարողանում ենք դատապարտել եւ քննադատել: Սակայն եթե դադարենք այդպես վարվել, ապա կկարողանանք իսկական սերն զգալ: Անհրաժեշտ է ինքդ քեզնից սկսել՝ սովորել քեզ ցանկացած ձեւով սիրել, իսկ հետո նաեւ ուրիշներին:
