Հնդկաստանի նախագահ Է դարձել Ռամ Նաթ Քովինդը

Ռամ Նաթ Քովինդը, որին առաջադրել Էր կառավարող Բհարաթիա ջանաթա պարտին (ԲՋՊ, Հնդկաստանի ժողովրդական կուսակցություն), ընտրվել Է Հնդկաստանի նախագահ: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին հաղորդել Է ընտրական հանձնաժողովը: NDTV հեռուստաալիքի տեղեկատվությամբ՝ Քովինդը հավաքել Է քվեատուների ձայների ավելի քան 65 տոկոսը:
Քովինդը դարձել Է 1950 թվականից ի վեր երկրի 14-րդ նախագահը, երբ Հնդկաստանում սահմանվել Է նախագահի պաշտոնը: Բացի դրանից Քովինդը դարձել Է դալիթներից սերած երկրորդ նախագահը. Հնդկաստանում այսպես են կոչում անձեռնմխելիների ստորին կաստաների անդամներին: Երկրի գործող նախագահ Փրանաբ Մուքերջիի լիազորությունները լրանում են հուլիսի 24-ին, պետության ընտրյալ ղեկավարը պաշտոնը կստանձնի հաջորդ օրը:
Ռամ Նաթ Քովինդը ծնվել Է 1945 թվականին Բրիտանական Հնդկաստանի Միացյալ Նահանգներում (այժմ Ութար Փրադեշի նահանգ) դալիթների ընտանիքում: Առեւտրի եւ իրավունքի բակալավի աստիճան Է ստացել Քանփուրի համալսարանում, այնուհետեւ 16 տարի փաստաբան Է աշխատել Դելիի Բարձր դատարանում եւ երկրի Գերագույն դատարանում:
1994 թվականին Ութար Փրադեշի նահանգից ընտրվել Է խորհրդարանի վերին պալատում, դրա անդամ Է եղել մինչեւ 2006 թվականի մարտը: 2015 թվականի օգոստոսին նշանակվել Է Բիհարի նահանգի նահանգապետ (այժմ հեռացել Է պաշտոնից նախագահի թեկնածու առաջադրվելու պատճառով): Ամուսնացած Է, ունի որդի եւ դուստր, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
