Սինգապուրում գտվող 182-ամյա ամենահին հայկական քրիստոնեական եկեղեցին դեռևս ամենաշատ այցելու ունեցող վայրերից է. ահա, թե ինչու

Սինգապուրում գտնվող 18-ամյա հայկական եկեղեցու մասին հոդված է հրապարակել mothership.sg կայքը, որը հավաստիացնում է, որ եկեղեցին պետք է լինի Սինգապուր այցելող զբոսաշրջիկների ամենացանակլի ուղղություններից մեկը.
 
 
Եկեղեցին կառուցվել է 1835-ին և Սինգապուրում ամենահին քրիստոնեական եկեղեցին է համարվում: Երբ 1819թ. Սինգապուրը դարձավ առևտրային նավահամգիստ, հայերն ամենաառաջին առևտրականներից էին, ովքեր եկան հաստատվեցին այստեղ:
 
Սկզբում հայերը սակավաթիվ էին, սակայն 1820-ականներից նրանք սկսեցին կրոնական ծառայություններ անցկացնել: Հայերը սկզբնական շրջանում ծեսերն անց էին կացնում Առևտրի հրապարակի մատուռում, սակայն հետո նրանք հող ստանալու ակնկալիքով դիմեցին բրիտանական իշխանություններին, որից հետո հայկական համայքը եկեղեցու կառուցման համար Canning Hill-ում տարածք ստացավ:
 
 
Հայկական եկեղեցին կառուցվել է հայկական ճարտարապետության ավանդական դետալներով . այն խաչի տեսք ունի, ինչը տեսանելի է միայն վերևից նայելու դեպքում:
 
Աղբյուրը մանրամասնում է, որ այն Սինգապուրում կլոր սրահ ունեցող միակ եկեղեցին է: Այն նաև նախագծված է այնպես, որ լիովին համապատասխանի Սինգապուրի տրոպիկական կլիմային: Բոլոր կողմերում դռներ և պատուհաններ ունի:
 
 
Եկեղեցու բակում նաև հիշատակի այգի կա, որտեղ ամփոփված են Սինգապուրում իրենց գործունեությամբ հայտնի հայերը:
