Արցախի Ազգային ժողովն ընտրում է երկրի նախագահին

Արցախի Հանրապետության Ազգային ժողովում հուլիսի 19-ին մեկնարկել է հատուկ նիստը, որի ժամանակ խորհրդարանն ընտրելու է երկրի նախագահին:

Խորհրդարանը, Սահմանադրության 168-րդ հոդվածի համաձայն, ընտրելու է Հանրապետության նախագահ, ով պաշտոնավարելու է մինչև գործող ԱԺ-ի լիազորությունների ավարտը՝ 2020 թվականը, որից հետո արդեն տեղի կունենան Արցախի նախագահի համապետական ընտրություններ:

Արցախի նախագահի պաշտոնի համար երկու թեկնածու է առաջադրվել. Արցախի ներկա նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանը և «Շարժում – 88» Արցախի ԱԺ խմբակցության ղեկավար Էդուարդ Աղաբեկյանը։

Խորհրդարանի հատուկ նիստը սկսվել է ժամը 11:00-ին: Ձևավորվել է հաշվիչ հանձնաժողով, թեկնածուները 1-ական ժամ ելույթ են ունենալու ու ներկայացնելու իրենց ծրագրերը:

Ելույթներից հետո ԱԺ պատգամավորները հնարավորություն կունենան հարցեր ուղղել թեկնածուներին, որից հետո թեկնածուները ևս 15-ական րոպե կունենան ելույթի համար:

Դրան հաջորդելու է փակ գաղտնի քվեարկություն: Ընտրված է համարվելու այն թեկնածուն, ով կստանա  պատգամավորների ձայների 2/3 մասը:

ԼՂՀ ԱԺ երեք՝ «Հայրենիք», «Ժողովրդավարություն» և «Դաշնակցություն» խմբակցությունները որոշել են սատարել գործող նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանի թեկնածությունը: Այդպիսով, ստացվում  է, որ Բակո Սահակյանը կստանա խորհրդարանի ճնշող մեծամասնության աջակցությունը՝ 33 պատգամավորներից 28-ը պետք է քվեարկեն նրա թեկնածության օգտին։ Անցումային նախագահի պաշտոնում ընտրվելու համար բավարար է 21 ձայնը։
