Կիտրոնի օգտակար հատկությունների մասին մարդկությանը հայտնի է դեռ հին ժամանակներից: Մասնագետները պնդում են, որ կիտրոնի հյութը հարուստ է B,C,E,PP խմբի վիտամիններով և հանքային նյութերով: Կիտրոնը լայն կիրառում ունի կոսմետոլոգիայի ասպարեզում:

Կիտրոնը հիանալի խնամքի միջոց է մաշկի համար: Անհրաժեշտ է կտրել կիտրոնից մի կտոր և քսել դեմքին: 1-2 րոպեում այն կմաքրի մաշկը մահացած բջիջներից, կլավացնի դեմքի գույնը և մաշկը կդարձնի ավելի առաձգական: Կիտրոնի հյութը հատկապես օգտակար է, եթե մաշկը յուղոտ է: Պետք է պարզապես խառնել կիտրոնի հյութը ջրին` 1:1 հարաբերությամբ և այդ լուծույթով մաքրել դեմքը առավոտյան և երեկոյան:

Արմունկների համար: Ընդամենը 10-15 րոպե է պետք տրամադրել և մեկ կտոր կիտրոն, բայց ամեն օր: Կիտրոնը պետք է կիսել և շրջանաձև շարժումներով դրանով մերսել արմունկները, ծնկները: Հետո լվացվել տաք ջրով և սնուցող քսուքով պատել նույն հատվածները: Որոշ ժամանակ անց կնկատեք գույնի փոփոխություն և մաշկի առողջացում: Բերանի խոռոչի համար: Կրկին խառնեք ջուր և բերանի հիգիենայի համար նախատեսված կիտրոնի հյութ: Ողողեք բերանն օրական մի քանի անգամ և պահպանեք թարմության զգացողությունը` վերջ դնելով վատ հոտին, կանխարգելելով կարիեսն ու լնդերի արյունահոսությունը: Մազերի խնամք: Ջուրը, որով պետք է պարզաջրեք մազերը լվանալուց հետո, խառնեք կիտրոնի հյութի հետ: Այն ամրացնում է մազերը, փայլեցնում և աստիճանաբար ազատում է թեփից:
